Hotel's Favourite
This is a lovely hotel centrally located with easy access to restaurant's, shops and RT 1. The staff are great, parking is underground and sheltered. Small enough to feel intimate but rooms are comfortable and generous. I would stay again in a minute.

We contacted them via phone the evening before our arrival to check availability and pricing. Although we have been to this area a few times, we never had stayed before. Accommodations were a welcome surprise as our room consisted of a sitting room that could accommodate a small group separate from the bathroom and bedroom. There was also a wet bar, microwave, mini fridge and hair dryer in the room. A sliding glass door led out to an inviting private balcony overlooking a private landscaped area. We took advantage of both the outside hot tub and indoor pool. We appreciated the close 0.3 mile walk to Perkins Cove and Marginal Way.

I'm still looking for the 'grand' in Grand Hotel. This is a basic 'suite-style' motel - NO FRILLS at all! While planning this trip to Maine, we called to ask some questions about the hotel, location, etc., and spoke to someone who I believe was the manager (Tom ??). We were told The Grand Hotel was the 'premier' hotel to stay in Ogunquit, we were told about the fabulous breakfast that was temporarily 'on hold' due to Covid (understandable,) and the proximity to Perkins Cove and the town center of Ogunquit. This was our first trip to Maine, starting in Portland where we arrived, and we remarked several times about how nice and friendly everyone is - stores, restaurants, hotel. Not so much the case at The Grand Hotel. We were received with a lukewarm welcome at best. Everything else about our stay was just that - lukewarm and mediocre. Rooms are very dated, but clean. All day coffee/tea service in lobby is a bit misleading since every time I'd gone to get coffee or hot water - the canisters were empty. No disrespect to Lipton, but seriously, the only tea offering was Lipton black/decaf? Seriously?? Now that Covid is seemingly over across the great state of Maine (with no sign of a mask in sight,) where's the breakfast we heard about? Nothing - they decided not to bring it back. Seriously? Not even a pastry, roll, or banana - grab/go style? These are all little things, I know, so they certainly didn't dampen our time in beautiful Ogunquit. That said, being little things - a warm smile, upgraded tea selection, a grab/go morning snack - all could have turned this from a 2-star review to a 5-star review. I can't report on any other hotel/inn here in Ogunquit, but I can tell you the offerings are numerous and I've got my eye on several others for a future visit. The restaurant next door, The Maine Catch, is awesome!

Dear rudysdad3, Are you sure you reviewed the correct business??? We are a hotel, not a motel, we have a female manager and no one named Tom works here. We have never described ourselves as the "premier" hotel in Ogunquit, we actually describe ourselves as a "small family run business". We stopped serving breakfast 2 seasons ago and the owner made it very clear then that we would not serve breakfast again so there is no one here that would have told you that it was "temporarily on hold". The entire hotel was redecorated 2 years ago so again I think you have the wrong property but I do wonder if you bothered to express these concerns to that property while you were there and allowed them to work with you or just waited to trash them on social media....

We’re regulars to the Ogunquit area and this was our second stay at the Grand Hotel. We love the location being right on Shore Rd and walking distance to many restaurants, stores, Marginal way and Perkins Cove. We also enjoy the 2 room suites which have ample space to spread out in the living room area with adjoining wet bar with microwave and small fridge. There’s a balcony off of the bedroom where we enjoyed our morning coffee. The hottub had an upgrade since our first stay here and fortunate for us we had it to ourselves all 3 days which was great. Front desk staff is very friendly, we declined housekeeping and just did towel exchange each day. Breakfast service is not happening at this time but there is coffee available all day in the lobby. We spent some time at the outdoor pool over at their sister property Pink Blossom. Again, we had the area to ourselves except for a few other people coming and going so we really felt spoiled! Also went over to the Mariner which is another sister property and used their outdoor pool which is overlooking the marsh. The use of this hotel’s sister properties is a major plus! We will definitely return again and again!
