We've stayed here 1/2 dozen times. The view is spectacular and never gets old. We prefer room 5 in the Main House because it has a small outdoor sitting area which used to be more private. They put in a new stairway which took away the privacy. The room is very outdated but reasonably priced. Once it gets remodeled we're...

Upon rolling into the Marginal Way House on a dark, somewhat foggy night, we were handed our keys by a super-friendly receptionist. The bottom-of-the-price-range room was small but outfitted with a bed supporting a firm mattress that made up for the excessive soft and sinking sentence imposed by the room at a different location the night before. Complementing the bed...

We really loved the room we had at the dock side, great sunrise, sunsets and moon rise, the room was bright and sunny we wanted to stay another night...but had to move to the main house..we paid more money for a basement room, that was remodeled but still dark and depressing

We have stayed at the Marginal Way House many times because of its classic architecture, yesteryear grounds, stellar location and homey vibe. This place is an anachronism in Ogunquit with the most soul per cubic foot than anywhere else in town. They have several buildings to suit needs of families or couples. The newly renovated carriage house where we stayed...

Hubby and I stayed at the Wharf House, a completely renovated one bedroom suite with a kitchenette a twin daybed for use as a couch and a king-size bed. This unit is not only very tastefully done ( they did not cut any corners whatsoever) but it also has a great size private deck overlooking the water and an oversize...

Recent changes have been made, and we found MWH not be as comfortable as the place was in its comfier shabby chic past. We enjoyed our stay in Ogunquit as we always do and had our kids and small grandchildren with us. They loved to play on the lawn and watch the river and ocean. The walk to the beach...

After a long hiatus, my family and I were thrilled to come back to Marginal Way House. It is by far, the best location in Ogunquit. It is a charming, laid back experience. The staff is efficient and very friendly. We too, were concerned when it changed ownership, that the Marginal Way House could lose its special family feel, but...

We only spent one night here as we were visiting for just a day. The location is awesome. Ocean front views and close to restaurants and stores. Nice lawn area with plenty of tables, chairs, and umbrellas for sitting out and enjoying the view. Short walk to the Marginal way. We had room 106 which we were told had been...
