My stay at Auberge on the Cove could not have been better. My room was very comfortable and the hotel was incredibly convenient to so many things and places. I look forward to staying there on future visits to Maine.

The staff at this hotel were wonderful! We needed an extra parking space and they found us one. They were so accommodating when we needed an extra parking space. They gave great suggestions for restaurants and other places to go with directions included. The Captains House where we stayed was one of a kind. We had the whole second floor to ourselves with beautiful views. We are looking forward to our next vacation there!

Always enjoy our stay at Auberge. We have been staying here every year for well over 10 years and have enjoyed each year. Location is a big factor when choosing to stay at Auberge, it can't be beat! Accommodations are contemporary and pleasant. This year, as was last year, has had a little effect on The Auberge's level of attention. Staff is smaller but still attentive, the traditional complementary breakfast has been sidelined again this year. hopefully to return post COVID. We are already planning our return visit next year. I must agree with a few of the return visitors who commented on the new upper deck chairs. I usually comment on how magnificent the view is from the upper deck. The new Adirondack style chairs sit so low, as too all but eliminate the view, Removal of the small table from the deck as well as the removal of the decorative chain that separated each rooms deck space, also were a little disappointing. More than once during our stay did we find our chairs relocated to other guests deck area and of course we had to retrieve them ourselves, not to mention other guest walking past our open window. The recently removed chains were connected to the deck railing with J hooks that were not removed along with the chains, they offer a nice opportunity for a child to hit their head while running along the now unobstructed deck. These are not meant to be complaints, just observations. We have always and will continue to be regulars at The Auberge!

Stayed here a few times when it was the Riverside Motel. Now that the place has been renovated some and turned into Auberge on the Cove, we tried it again. The room upgrades are clearly helpful - new flooring, wall paneling, beds, and walk-in showers. Very nice, although the non-alignment of the bed with the shelf high above it indicates mistakes were made. No breakfast is provided even though other hotels in the area now offer breakfast despite the pandemic. This visit was unfortunately marred by annoying guests in a neighboring room, handled poorly by the hotel office. The rates here are now premium, which is ok for the quality of room, but not for the annoyance.

Response from James Beetz, General Manager at Auberge on the Cove

Hi Folks, we're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay as much as you had your previous visits with us, but pleased to hear that you enjoyed the renovated rooms. We appreciate you bringing the mantle/shelf issue to our attention as well. With each room having unique salvaged antique architectural pieces like that shelf, they all require different mounting and hanging. You can see from our web pictures that this particular mantle is unique and will definitely need some attention. As soon we we close for the season at the end of October we will be sure to re-mount it. We hope to see you again in the future, and thank you for taking the time to leave us a review!

The very best view! Pleasant room & deck. Super people. Bring back breakfast! Perkins cove and 25 shops, accessible by footbridge is one of the great features of staying here. You can go over the bridge to the trolley and not use your car to see Ogunquit!
