The Norseman has a great location right on the beach in Ogunquit. Unfortunately, that is all it has going for it. It is a very old, wood-framed structure with badly outdated rooms, the bathrooms in particular. The mattresses are about the worst you could ever expect in a bottom end hotel, and the attitude at the front desk is less...

This hotel is right on the beach and has parking for every room. The Beach is right out the front door and at high tide is only 10 steps away. During low tide the beach is a beautiful family friendly place to visit and play in the ocean. There are life guards on duty from 10 to 5pm. The hotel...

You can't beat actually being on the beach. Experiencing the power of nature in the high and low tides with the delicious salt air is the best! Reception staff was helpful and friendly. Room was average yet clean. The air conditioning unit was very noisy and loud all through the night.

We have been there many times since the 70's. The problem is it still looks like it is from the 70's.The rooms need updating in terms of bedcoverings, lamps with no external plugs, very few outlets for plugging in. Bathroom shower is 2 ft x 2 ft . Towels in bathroom are thin . Soap is Ivory or Jergens. Outside...

Fantastic location right on the beach. Nice room, large and clean. Very friendly staff. Wifi in the room, restaurant oceanfront, miles of sandy beach. Had an ocean front room, the views are spectacular. Short walk to town with lots of shops and restaurants. Lobster anyway you like it. Will go back again. Our new family vacation spot.

We've been coming to this hotel for several years strictly for the views and direct beach access. There are two ocean front buildings. One building has apparently been upgraded but not the other. Not sure if there are any plans for any future renovations. The rooms are very clean and bathroom is very small. The parking situation is HORRIBLE. There...

Second time going to this hotel. Loved the location and did not want to leave. Awesome views of the ocean. Will go back again. Retro bathroom. Not a fancy place but we loved it being on the beach. Lots to look at with all the beach goers right under you. Walked the beach every day and night. Walked Marginal Way...

Stayed one night here in June. Room was ok nothing fancy, but one thing I will say was that they were very generous with the towels. I appreciate that. You entered the room through a sliding glass door which was facing the beach. You could sit on the bed and look out and listen to the waves. As I said...

We just returned from another visit to the Norsemen. This weekend we were able to walk along the beach. It was such a beautiful weekend. We have stayed here before and will return again. Our room was in the Dunes building, extreamly clean and with comfortable beds. We ate breakfast at the little cafe overlooking the beach. The staff was...
