My wife and I found the Morrill Mansion B&B while searching for a spot to stay in Portland during the celebration of our 20th wedding anniversary. What a delightful stay, the innkeeper was cordial and helped us with our luggage - he also pointed us in the direction of local restaurants all within walking distance. Breakfasts were outstanding and on...

If you are passing through Portland, you have GOT to stay at Morrill Mansion! David was a knowledgeable and gracious host, offering dinner and attraction suggestions when we first arrived. You can tell that he truly enjoys what he does and is the nicest man you will meet in Portland. He gave us lots of great tips and we even...

Having stayed in a few B&Bs at this point, Morrill Mansion stood out. It's beautifully decorated and very clean, the host was incredibly hospitable (warm and welcoming, without that creepy forced intimacy feeling that sometimes comes along with "welcoming" places), the breakfast was quite tasty, and most importantly it somehow felt like home. My wife is extremely picky about beds...

My husband and I just came back from an overnight in Portland, and what a great experience at The Morrill Mansion! The room was the perfect size, the bed was comfortable, and the room was very well kept. The breakfast in the morning, was very good-the blueberry crumb bread was to die for. Overall a fantastic experience. If we ever...

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. From the courteous service to the thoughtful snacks and chocolate in our room, this tastefully decorated B&B is the place to stay when you are in Portland! Don't miss it!

We stayed here so that we were close to the Baseball ground but it was also quite easy to walk into Portland centre. Charming area - some houses a little shabby but some, such as Morrill Mansion, refurbished to a high standard. The owner was friendly & welcoming & very helpful with local details. The room was smallish with a...

Bed and breakfasts don't always suit this traveling duo as we like to sleep in separate beds but in the same room. Morrill Mansion has two rooms that include a daybed in an adjoining room. I saw the description of the room online but there weren't pictures to see if it was really a small space to tuck in a...

We had never stayed in a B & B but we were pleasantly surprised. The B&B is in a residential neighborhood but within walking distance to several restaurants and the art museum. Breakfast is fantastic. There was fresh fruit, pancakes with a hot blueberry sauce, homemade muffins, boiled eggs, and a custard with fresh raspberries. Yum! In the afternoon, they...

I called about staying for a weekend in August, as well as inquiry about transportation .. I asked if there was transportation from the Portland Transportation Center (I was taking the Amtrak to Portland) and the owner ignored my question and said yes, there is bus transportation around town. I then ask specifically if there is public transportation from the...

Please accept my apologies if my answers fell short of your expectations, but I was in no way rude nor did I ignore any of your questions. You asked if there was public transportation from the Amtrak station, and I replied yes, taxi service is about $4-5 to the bed and breakfast, and that there was also bus transportation but...

I have stayed here two times so far when I have visited Portland. The rooms have been quiet, clean and comfortable. The inn is beautifully decorated with attention to details for the guests. The inn keeper is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious with a nice variety of choices. In the afternoon you can enjoy tea and cookies. It...
