A friend and I decided to take a quick 1 night getaway in Portland, ME. We wanted something cozy, clean, within walking distance of downtown (for us that was less than, a mile) and affordable. The Mercury Inn meet all of those criteria but exceeded them in so many ways. Our room was small, just right, cozy with soft sheets,...

Room was very clean, and had pretty much every amenity we needed. The sustainability aspect was great and much appreciated. Part of the reason we stayed there was due to their emphasis to be eco-friendly. The breakfast was fantastic, and great for us as vegetarians.

Super friendly and attentive service with a nice, mellow energy. Comfortable, very clean rooms and a simple, delicious breakfast, fantastic coffee, and local fermented hot sauce on hand. Wide movie and book collection and well appointed communal lounge area on 2nd floor with cozy stove, nice seating set up and a good tea selection for an afternoon of reading in...

We had a great one night stay here. It was within walking distance to the State Theater. Tim had great suggestions on where to have dinner. Breakfast was spectacular--loved the cheese grits and homemade blueberry muffins!!

Thank you so much for the wonderful array of delicious and healthy foods. Vegan, gluten free and vegetarian options abound and everything was fantastic. Also appreciated was the tea and coffee available at all times. The room had a nice reading nook and we were very comfortable.

The Mercury Inn is the perfect home base for visiting Portland. It's centrally-located, with a quirky-stylish vibe (in true local style) and many unique little flourishes, from the blue and gold lobster wallpaper in the entryway to the repurposed mess hall table in the dining room. The breakfast, lovingly prepared each day by the innkeeper, is fantastic and features various...

Where to start on how amazing our stay was at the Mercury Inn. I guess we will start at the beginning. We opted to park on the street and had no issues finding a spot. There were many spaces available. Self check in (if you want it), it could not be any easier. You get a text with the entry...

My friend and I stayed at the Mercury Inn for just a night, but we wish it was longer! Our room (IV) was spacious and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was delicious and the owner was friendly and accessible. The common areas are adorable and comfortable (I especially loved the gold lobster wallpaper!) It's located in a nice, residential area of...
