Historic building, modern and tasteful interiors. Friendly and accommodating proprietors. Unbelievably delicious food, and the other guests you meet at breakfast are so interesting and come from all over the world!

I was so excited to book the Old Granite Inn after reading about it in Coastal Living Magazine!! My in-laws were visiting the east coast for the first time and the Granite Inn was such a delight to complete our drive up the coast of Maine! It's the perfect city getaway. Joan and the entire Old Granite Inn Family are...

My wife and I stayed here for a night on our way up to Bar Harbor but could have stayed for a week. This inn has a lot of character, is comfortable, and the hosts cook an amazing breakfast. Will definitely be back!

This inn is the perfect place to spend a few days on Maine's coast. We spent New Years Eve here. It is very warm and cozily decorated and the room even had a small working remote-operated fireplace. We had views of the water from our room and could take a short walk to restaurants and shops downtown, or a a...

On a whim, my husband and I decided to spend a weekend in Rockland and visit an area we hadn't been to in 17 years. We did a search for a place to stay which would accommodate our dog. Old Granite Inn was it and we were thrilled with our visit there. It is a beautiful bed and breakfast in...

Across from the ferry parking lot. Not quaint, antique filled, cosy type b&b - more like a contemporary, functioning, tiny hotel with decent lobby. Did not feel like I was in someone's home. Strengths: comfortable bed, clean, good breakfast, close to ferry port, friendly service. Weakness: inexpensive room was quite small. Not sure about wifi.

Ed and Joan have a great location across from the ferry terminal, 11 rooms, and are tied for the best breakfasts in Rockland (with Home Kitchen). The two bedrooms facing Main Street are a bit noisier than the others located in the addition towards the back. The innkeepers are wonderful people, dog friendly, anxious to please, and with many stories...

I stayed here for two nights just after Thanksgiving. I was in Rockland for a wedding and most of the wedding guests, as well as the bride and groom, stayed here. The Inn is VERY clean and the owners/staff were very accommodating. For breakfast we had several hot/cold options to choose from and there are butterscotch cookies available all day...

Parking is available right in front- easy to unload luggage- a few steps but for a Historic Property- minimal. Breakfast-hot dishes-muffins-hot coffee- Common areas very comfortable. My only concerns were the small flat pillows, the mystery liquids in my bathroom and the very thin bathrobe (my bathroom was down the hall) - I used my own soaps since nothing was labeled....

My husband and I spent two nights at this olded B&B that was conveniently located on Main Street in Rockland. It is owned by Ed and Joan....he a fomer music professor and she an interior designer. We had the 2 room suite that included a private bath. The rooms had bare floors and minimal decor. The tiny televisions that were...
