This is a nice campground. Big lake. Unfortunately, (probably due to a late arrival - 7:30pm) we were given a spot right inside the front gate, under a giant light...We then found out, at some point in the middle of the night, that the campground is apparently very close to the airport.... Loud, jets coming in for a landing... Not... More

we stayed at this campground to explore the Portland ,Maine area. It was a perfect spot. We took many day trips around the area. we needed a walk in Clinic and it was nearby. The spots vary in size but we were happy with ours. We had cable TV and Wi-Fi included in the price. A nice swimming pond is... More

CREDIT CARD CHARGED OVER DOUBLE THAN WHAT WAS DISCLOSED UPON BOOKING OVER TELEPHONE. When I called to book the campground the wrong price must've populated on my search engine because have since gone through the website and confirmed the pricing listed IS what was charged to my card. I did, however, confirm at the time of booking that $25.00 would... More

This was our first time camping with our very high energy dog. There were lots of other campers with dogs and very little barking and noone complained or gave the 'evil eye' when ours gave the occassional bark. He even got loose once and another camper came around with him on a leash to find the owner! And there is... More

This was the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to visit. The owner/manager is incredibly rude, degrading and arrogant and encourages his staff to be rude as well. I was given a hard time over my disability to the extent that he and his staff implied I did not have one (and just to clarify, yes, I do... More

The only reason I didn't give this campground an excellent rating is because the campsites are too close together. The noise was not a problem, just felt like we were right on top of our neighbors. The campsite is clean and friendly.

I am British & have travelled in truck and trailer to 43 different states( we cheated & used a hotel in Alaska & Hawaii). Campgrounds Vary according to 'in city' or 'rural' but as a rule you get what you pay for. I stayed at Wassamki Springs at very reasonable rates in September '15 and thought it was very good... We stayed here for one night while on a road trip through New England. We wanted inexpensive lodging -- in our teardrop trailer -- From which to explore Portland. We got that, I suppose, but as far as camping goes, it was just a terrible place. It seemed to be made up of seasonal campers in very large rvs, which... More

We stayed here on June 9th, 2015. We were on a roadtrip across all of New England, so we only needed to stay here for one night. We also stayed on a weekday so that probably helped. Our site was right on the lake - which was pretty awesome - and the sight seemed pretty big for us and our... More

We recently had our first trip to Wassamki in mid-September. Wassamki is about 1.5hr drive for us, not too far away from home but just enough to feel we are "away" for the weekend. We have friends who are seasonal campers at Wassamki and they encouraged us to come up and stay. We were right on the edge of the... More
