Wanted to like this vintage motel, however upon entering we encountered more than half a dozen moths flying around. The front door, originally jalousie windows, was boarded up with plywood. The carpet was filthy, which really creeped me out so much so that I was unable to even enjoy a cup of tea in the room. I thought I would...

Dana and Pat are congenial hosts. They were so gracious and attentive to our family travel needs. They opened their little coffee shop just for us after we slept in and got much need rest after a long day of travel. Dana shared a card trick that had us all baffled and stumped. If you are looking for a personalized,...

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Kyes motel for a single night, and we both loved it. The owner was the sweetest, most welcoming man we have met in the 1,5 month we have been travelling around the US. He gave us some great tips regarding what to see in the area, where to eat and so on. If we...

My wife and I booked here having read a few Tripadvisor reviews which were generally positive. But I should have been more careful at noticing the dates of the reviews, which were quite a few months (years?) old. That's a bad sign because it means not too many people are staying there. There are 10 units in a separate motel...

We enjoyed our stay at this motel very much. Owner was very willing to please and accommodating. It is a small one level "motor court" style motel, which we love because it is so much easier to carry the bags in when you can park in front of your door! (we don't exactly travel light, lol!) The room was very...

Sitting in Freeport at a Starbucks, on a driving trip through Maine, I decided to cancel the planned drive to Bar Harbor. Acadia was closed because the government shut down. A trip through the mountains in the northwestern part of the state looked good. I needed a room THAT NIGHT and it was 4 p.m. Trip Advisor on my tablet,...

We stayed here in August of 2013, the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The pool area is very nice. The wifi was better than the branded hotel we stayed in the night before. The small breakfast cafe was very nice and the food delicious. They are akso motorcycke friendly. If you need a room in Skowhagen this would...

We were very afraid at first glance, but glad we didn't judge a book by its cover. The room was simple but very clean, a back door opened to allow a breeze thru, and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was clean and the kids loved swimming there and in the river(jumping off the dock). The breakfasts were absolutely...

We stayed here for three nights for a baseball tournament. The owners could not have been more accommodating in every way. The rooms were simple but clean. The Pool and river were great and the breakfast was like having your mom cook for you.
