We have stayed here a couple of times. What we love is that it is your old fashioned motel, but in great condition. AC worked perfectly and was not as noisy as some. Set off the road so no traffic noise, lovely room with fridge/freezer, great coffee maker and absolutely clean. Breakfast was great, yogurts, fruits, cereal, breads/muffins and good...

Pros of this property include an in-town location, convenient parking, and a clean, comfortable room. However, there are drawbacks that you should know about. First, the rooms are small and dated, including the bathrooms which could use some significant updating. The pool was nice but needed cleaning, with a lot of dead leaves on the bottom. We appreciated the fact...

My wife and I stayed here for the night, and it was lovely; rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is great, and the pool is clean and absolutely fantastic. Plenty of space to sit outside(we were outside a lot, as we're smokers), picnic table in the shade. TV and wireless internet were awesome, no problems. I'd go back anytime....

My wife and I detest the larger chain hotels and will always try to find small hotels/motels/B&B's for lodging. In our travels thru Maine we chose the Towne Motel in Skowhegan and were not disappointed. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean. The sheets were soft and the towels fluffy. The pool was very clean and an exceptional treat on...

Our preferred stopover in Skowhegan. Well-maintained pool was very inviting on a hot day and enjoyed by our kids. Our room was spacious and had a fridge. Air conditioner a little noisy but kept room cool. Staff pleasant and helpful. Look forward to returning!

My wife and I stayed here for her company's outing in Skowhegan. It was a typical motel. Probably the best of what this small town has to offer. Staff was good. Room was a bit dated but clean. It wasn't bad but wasn't special either. If I ever make my way back to this little town, I'd probably stay here.

My son and I needed a place to stay in Skowhegan because he had a two day long basketball conference nearby. Many of his friends opted to go to Waterville, 40 minutes away to stay in one of the large chain motels. We opted for the Towne and were the luckiest ones on the team! Our room, 7 minutes from...

The front desk lady (probably the owner) was very nice and welcoming and the room is so cozy. Another classic style, park in front of your door – the type I love for the convenience – but here with a twist: there’s a second floor. I was lucky the first night but, reality kicked in the second night and I...

My husband and I traveled from Midcoast Maine to Skowhegan to a fundraiser function. We checked reviews for local hotels, and found the Towne. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the loveliest, warm, down to earth couple... owners Roger and Deborah. The motel has been recently renovated and it is absolutely stunning. We had an upstairs room with a...

The room on the second floor was clean, quiet and comfortable. The office staff was very helpful. Gave us a local paper and recommendations for a wonderful place to have dinner. Just a few steps from dinner to our room. Thought we might end up in a fast food place and were we pleasantly surprised.
