September visit to Acadia. The Inn is a great jumping off spot. The hosts and all the help were gracious and extremely helpful in guiding us to things to do and places to eat. The room was bright and comfortable. The breakfasts delicious. We will return.

This was the perfect place for us to stay for a weeklong visit to Acadia N.P. The innkeepers and their staff were friendly, the breakfasts were delicious and our suite (the Sou'wester) fit our needs very well. Southwest Harbor is a cozy, non-glitzy community. After spending time in Bar Harbor, we were so glad our lodging was in Southwest. There... More

Hard to know having never been to Acadia where to stay, but it turned out that all of our decisions turned out to be right on. Southwest Harbor, the quiet side, was just fine. Close to the park but not too close. But the Harbour Cottage Inn (we stayed in the Carriage House) was our home away from home. Comfortable,... More

Great Inn, great location, refreshing alternative to the touristy Bar Harbour we stayed in before coming to Harbour Cottage. We stayed in the Dory, beautiful room with the biggest most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was fresh, organic and presented with love and provenance for amazing Maine products. Don and his staff were attentive and great hosts,... More

This was our 3rd stay at this lovely Victorian Inn. Gourmet breakfasts, helpful Inn keepers and top notch accommodations make this a perfect spot on the quiet side of Acadia. Southwest Harbor is much quieter than Bar Harbor, yet still has some nice shops and spots to eat.

A beautiful Inn in a beautiful location. Though it is a little bit of a drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, it is worth it. The common areas are so peaceful after a day of shopping and sightseeing in and around busy Bar Harbor. It is also a nice place to relax with a cup of something warm... More

My son and I recently spent a couple days here and really enjoyed it! The Inn is spacious and cozy, and our room was perfect. Don, our host, was great and he and his staff were very gracious. Our breakfast's were delicious- pancakes with wild Maine blueberries one day, crepes and eggs the next! Will definitely be back!

My husband and I were extremely happy with our accommodations and the service provided by Don and his staff, Diana and her husband. Don is a wonderfully gracious host and very helpful with area recommendations. Diana and her husband who assist in many efforts are an absolute delight. What a great choice we made picking Harbour Cottage Inn. It is a beautiful , well run Inn. Don and his staff make you feel welcome and comfortable. We stayed for two nights at Harbour Cottage. Originally we thought about staying in Bar Harbor but decided it was too touristy and we really wanted to stay in a bed and breakfast inn. The room was cosy and had good quality bathroom products. The public areas are beautifully done and there is a peaceful atmosphere. Coffee and teas are... More
