My wife and I camped here for a few nights as we celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary at Acadia National Park. We enjoyed the staff and the grounds greatly. We made several comments throughout our trip on the cleanliness of the facilities and would recommend this place to future guests. We opted for a site with electrical hookup and...

Located centrally in Acadia National Park area. Sites are large, quiet, with good mix of family tent camping and RV camping. WiFi is excellent. We were in an self contained RV. Large field for walking our two dogs. Plenty of young children around, but very respectful and unintrusive. Easy drives to Bar Harbor, Jordan Pond, Cadillac Mt. We stayed a...

We rented a deluxe cabin at Smugglers Den for the first week of Aug. They have 6 or 7 very cozy deluxe cabins with full kitchens, full baths, screened in porches, and a gas fireplace. It was adorable and perfect for us as we are not really into tent camping anymore, but love the campground vibe, sitting around a camp fire...

Friendly staff, quiet, great pool, family oriented, clean, hot showers, and the (free) bus stops hourly to head over to Acadia. We absolutely loved our week of camping here! Tents, RVs and Cabin camping. Solid Internet connection, too. Thanks, we'll be back!

We stayed here for the past week at Smuggler's Den. We had a great experience. The campground is in a great location on the western/quieter side of the island but it is still close enough to everything to be super convenient. We checked in on a Sunday and got to our site (71) which was a little narrow at the...

We were originally scheduled to stay (in our RV) 5 nights, but loved this place so much we ended up staying 8 nights. The sites were level and the hookups all worked flawlessly. It is a half mile from a grocery store and within a few minutes of the national park. The staff members are very helpful. The kids loved...

Absolutely gorgeous setting in the woods next to Acadia National Park. Really friendly, helpful staff who go out of their way to make your stay perfectly enjoyable. Large RV spaces with lots of trees and foliage to enhance privacy. We walked from our campsite down a path from the campground to Acadia National Park, Long Pond trail, which was a...

I always like the quiet campsite and found tent only site (#50ish) which is mountain view. The campsite map is available online, so it is advised to take a look if you want specific surrounding. Other tent sites are more open and can be somewhat noisy. My family never used the pool so I can't make any comments. In comparison...

We have a class A motor home and got a pull through site on a slab. It was a nice park, with pool, playground, laundry, bathrooms were clean. Office staff was helpful, a store, cabins, location a drive from Bar Harbor, but there are free shuttle buses. A good experience overall!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We stayed here while visiting Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The Island Express bus stops right at the campground, so you'll not need a car at all. Bus takes you all over Acadia and also into Bar Harbor- great way to get around. Campground itself was spotlessly clean and had a great...
