It has won awards for service, great food, wine list, best small music venue in Britain, best small golfing hotel in Scotland, amongst many more. The Bedrooms are very modern in complete contrast to the age of the main house. The food is all locally sourced and has a modern European edge to it.

We stayed at the Inn at Lathones for three nights. We were there for a family event n the Sunday. The event was a wake for my Mother In Law and there was a lot of communication between us and the Inn leading up to or trip. What was brilliant was how helpful all the staff were, including these negotiations and during our stay. All the staff were brilliant and we could not have asked for better service. At the last minute were were informed that two of the guests for the wake were unable to eat egg and another could not eat carbs, with no fuss at all the staff sorted out separate plates for all these people that were generous and appropriate to their needs. They sorted out a very nice buffet meal for us and even displayed some of my mother in laws's paintings and photographs. As well as the wake, we ate twice in the restauraunt. Once just my wife and I, once as a family of eight. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. I can particularly recommend the Venison casserole! Unbelievable. That is a strong word for what was a family meal in the restaurant. It was one if not the nicest restaurant meals I have had. Iam unfortunately gluten free and the options I had where vast. The food was the best gluten free food I've tasted in the years I have been diagnosed but even best I've tasted. The price is moderately more expensive however worth it. Compared to a "chip" shop tea the 7 pound more to dine in is all worth it. If your coeliac or even not. Book right away.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were very helpful to us. Great location with St Andrews being only a 10 minute drive away. Wonderful food and wine package. I will very much recommend staying at The Inn at Lathones!

We had a great overnight stay at The Inn at Lathones. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant was superb. An excellent choice if you're visiting St Andrews.

Stayed for one night while in the area with work. Lovely quiet location just outside St Andrews. The room had everything for a comfortable stay. Great comfy bed. Bathroom was large, maybe a little tlc needed. Had both dinner and breakfast, both delicious, one of the best breakfasts I’ve had while working away. Felt very well looked after by all the staff, would love to return.

We have stayed here before as we have previously held our annual prize giving dinner. Following no dinners for a few years due to Covid, we came back this year. We had a lovely cosy,comfortable room for an overnight stay and our dinner for 50 guests was fantastic. A varied menu and every comment was that whatever the choice it was delicious. Friendly,helpful staff who couldn't do enough to make our evening perfect. We'll be back next year if not before.

Clean comfortable room. Food tasty and well presented. Staff very friendly and helpful. Public areas cosy and inviting. This hotel in middle of country but only a short drive away it allows for easy access to St Andrews. Would recommend for short break.

Great location near St Andrews. The accommodations were wonderful and the staff was incredibly nice. We dined in the restaurant each night and loved it. After diner we had drinks in the bar and did a little impromptu whiskey tasting and chatted with the owner Mike about the history of the inn, and about regional whiskeys. We highly recommend this place

An excellent place to stay for a trip to the famous St Andrews in Scotland. The standard of service across all aspects of our stay was superb. The superior room was large, great private patio area with countryside views Large bathroom with shower and spa bath The outside of the Inn does not do justice to the inside. Very good value. Had a lovely couple of nights . Room basic but comfortable and perfect as we were with another couple and we had adjoining rooms Food excellent. We dined first night and the service was excellent and food piping hot and plenty choice. Same with breakfast. Nice to be served and not a buffet. Food was piping hot Staff both mornings were excellent Nice stopping place and we used bus to go through to St Andrews and taxi back Would be excellent to sit outside in the summer evenings as plenty areas to do that Would def return again and your not paying St Andrew prices but just as hood
