Close to the ferry and on a nice quiet side street, this inn was a great place to stay for our birding excursion to the nearby islands. The innkeeper was very helpful and attentive. Be sure you are okay with steps and removing your shoes on entering the house. I shared a large room with a friend and there was...

We stayed in the red room which had it's own bathroom. It was a lovely room with a comfortable bed. It was a bit stuffy but overall very clean and tidy. The most outstanding part of our stay was our host. He was incredibly welcoming and kind. I accidentally left something in the room at check out and he walked...

The Libby House is house is neat and clean. Phil, the Inn Keeper is quite the character. He is chatty, earthy, and concerned as to whether or not you are having a good time. He'll be your tour guide and drive you around the island. Or, he'll tell you the best places to go, on Vinalhaven or Rockland. Vinalhaven is...

The Inn, like many in New England, is historic with many reminders of what it must have been like to live in a previous period, although all the...

Our host, Phil Roberts, greeted us with an offer of a tour of the island. After being shown to our room, we took him up on it as we had no car, and he showed us places we would never have discovered on foot. He made suggestions for activities and meals, offered us the use of his extensive CD collection...

A stay at the Libby House on Vinalhaven Island is a summer dream come true. Phil Roberts the proprietor of the Libby House is a wealth of Island knowledge and a very engaging man. The Libby House is located within walking distance from the ferry landing and local restaurants.
