Clean room & GREAT location! I stayed in one of the motel units for 2 nights. A no frills room that was clean and sufficient for my needs. Check-in and check out were super easy. The only complaint would be the super thin walls - I could hear everything from the rooms I was in between.

My daughter and her boyfriend came to visit for 10 days, but weren't able to stay with us, about 5 minutes away from this resort. We rented them one of the cottages for their visit. They loved it! It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. There is also a seasonal campground there with campers and tasteful mobile homes. Everyone was super nice as well. Pet friendly. Chelsea was wonderful!

My husband and I booked a last minute stay at Drake's Island Resort and the next day had a family emergency and could no longer make the trip. I called to let them know and the woman who answered asked if we could come on one of the next 2 weekends before they close for the season because she "didn't want us to lose our deposit" of $360. Given the circumstances of our cancellation, we are shocked and disgusted that Drake's chose to keep our deposit. It tells us that they are a business who doesn't value people and their situations and they significantly lack empathy. If we had canceled because we made other plans or just didn't feel like going anymore, I get it - keep our deposit in those circumstances. But for a family emergency??? It's morally wrong, heartless, and deeply selfish. If keeping our $360 deposit is worth losing business down the road because we won't visit and word of mouth from our feedback will prevent others from going, then that's their choice. But, in my opinion it's poor business practice and just a terrible thing to do to someone who just had a personal tragedy. We will never book with Drakes again. There are plenty of other places in Maine who are run by people who actually have a heart and morals.

Cute little motel. Clean rooms, Pillows were awful and flat, asked for new ones and got the same. They really should upgrade them, makes a world of difference in a good nights sleep. Quiet location, close to all sights.

Nice place to stay, quiet, pristine clean simple studio cottage and dog friendly. They have it all…Location, seasonal campground, hotel, cottages with salt water pool, fire pit, outdoor grills, cafe on site and a mile away from Beach, Restaurants and historical sites. Our Golden Retriever was welcomed and the grounds were clean and very well kept. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and intend to go back if we can get a reservation. Compliments to Chelsea and her Team! Highly recommend
