Spent two nights there. Rooms were clean and functional...beds comfortable. Fridge in room worked great Desk personnel WERE NOT MASKED. Reservations said king with a view. Room had no view but manger switched us no problem. Nice indoor pool and whirlpool but you must go outside to access the building which contain these and checking. WALLS NOTICEABLY THIN!!!! Nice restaurant across the street

This was the third hotel during our Fall Foliage tour. The tour guests were located in the annex. The staff was extremely welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our one night across from the Atlantic. We dined twice at the restaurant across the street. Highly recommended. Note: There is an indoor lap pool in the annex.

We've been neighbors of the Anchorage for over 40 years. Just before Christmas we needed a place to stay for a night and found a great rate for this hotel and decided to try it. We were quite pleased. Our room was ocean view and on the second floor. It was clean and warm (it was quite cold outside). The linens were fresh and in nice condition. The shower was excellent. If it were summer this would be a great place to stay with a family. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool and its right across the street from the ocean. Sunrises and moonrises are beautiful from here. York Beach is a wonderful family beach and the Anchorage fits in perfectly. This past summer we had lunch at the Sun & Surf restaurant across the street. Its owned by the same people. I will tell you that it is a great place to have lunch. The food is good and the prices are reasonable and you won't find a more picturesque view anywhere near it especially considering the prices. I highly recommend both properties.

Room Tip: The main building rooms on the extreme left and right would have unobstructed views of the ocean...

We went to Maine this year to see fall colors and to explore the beach towns, and we started in the south at York Beach. We stayed at the Anchorage Inn, in the 3 story building in the back, and it was a good choice. The room was clean, nicely decorated and the balcony had a "partial open view" which we enjoyed. The bed was comfortable, the TV worked and we stayed for just one night. The only drawback I can list is that I could not get the AC to work. We would stay here again.

I’m sad and disappointed. My family and I have been visiting the Anchorage for years; ever since I was a kid. While it was never a five star experience, it’s done nothing but get worse over time, even after slight renovations. Upon entry to our room, the room was hot. The air conditioning had not been turned on. The carpet was extremely damp and there was a musty odor. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling above the sink, and there was mold on the wall in the bathroom, and around the seal of the refrigerator. Hair, dirt, and dust caked the corners of the bathroom. It felt dirty, and unkempt. Cleanliness should be a top priority, especially during COVID times. It was clear that caulking and paint were used to cover up existing mold issues, and very little care was taken when checking over the room. We had to ask for an additional chair to sit outside our room, since there was only one there. Maintenance was very nice. They brought us two additional chairs so that everyone staying in the room could sit outside, and they were responsive and timely when our bathroom light stopped working. I still think it is absurd that the Anchorage is unwilling to sell additional parking passes when there is plenty of parking left at the property on a night they said was completely full. This last trip will be the last time we stay at the Anchorage. To charge the prices they do for a low quality motel experience is abhorrent. Stop resting on your laurels, take care of the rooms, or charge a price that reflects the quality you’re willing to give your guests.
