We were visiting friends nearby in Chestertown and they recommended the Mitchell House. It was a very pleasant place to spend two nights at the start of a 2 week road trip. The innkeepers are welcoming and offer lots of suggestions for things to see and do, and places to eat. We were the only guests for the two nights,... More

Our family has been visiting The Inn at Mitchell House for more than 15 years, and we keep returning, even now that we've moved to New England. The Inn is charming and historic, and the breakfast is scrumptious without fail, but most importantly, we feel like family whenever we return to Tracy and Jim Stone's magnificent yet cozy home. We've... More

My husband and I wanted to get away for the night and the owners here could not have been more accommodating. They were able to get us in for one night despite the two night minimum and were very gracious hosts. They recommended a great place for dinner and served a wonderful breakfast. We will definitely be going back again... More

The Inn at Mitchell House is one of my favorite places in the world! My wife Julie and I were married at the Inn and have known Jim and Tracey Stone for many years. We have spent many weekends at the Inn with family and friends. This is a special, quiet, and peaceful place with a sense of history and... More

We stayed here to visit our daughter nearby over the holiday weekend and it was wonderful. This historical Inn is located near Chestertown and Rock Hall. It is beautiful inside and out. The inn keepers, Tracy and Jim, could not be nicer and more accommodating, helpful with directions, suggested activities, and awesome chefs. The breakfasts were delicious-- patriotic french toast... Nine of us were here for a knitting weekend. A couple of the attendees had been there before, and they had nothing but compliments about the Inn at Mitchell House. I was a little skeptical, but I soon found out I had no reason to doubt my friends. The Inn is very close to restaurants and shopping, but still had... More

My husband and I ventured to the Inn at Mitchell House for a quick getaway. Had we known that our choice in staying here would have been pure heaven, we certainly would have booked a longer stay. Jim and Tracy, the owners, are gracious hosts, eager to welcome you to their bit of paradise. They'll be happy to share the... More

This is only the second time my wife and I have ever stayed at a BnB. Although they can be somewhat intimidating for the inexperienced, once you knock on the door, you swear you're visiting old friends. Quaint rooms filled with antiques and we had a breakfast to die for. Great accommodations close to the shoreline tucked in a beautiful... More

For the past five years, my family has made the trek to the Inn at Mitchell House for the Memorial Day weekend. Each year, we drive along the beautiful tree laden path to the end of the road and come across the grounds at the Inn. Whether it is the kids riding their bike all around the property or the...
