I stayed solo but my wife would never have stayed. Everything is shop worn, lights hanging, hard wired smoke detector missing, that sort of thing.
I did not shower in the morning based on the looks of the bathroom.
No, I won't stay there again. There have to be better options in the area.
If the manager tells you at the time you at check in there are no BED BUGS, He is lying. My friend who was also staying here showed me the BEDBUGS in his room 406. The only way he was able to change rooms is when we both THREATENED to check out immediately. Then the manager decided to let him switch to room 414. When doing so, He and I noticed BEDBUGS in that room also. I also saw the bugs in 426 and 418, And don't get me started about the ROACHES and MICE that I've witnessed crawling out from under the fridges. The manager THREATENED us to keep quiet about these problems, And said he would throw us out with no refund if we complained to others.
Bring your own towels, pillows and other hospitality items with you because they are not readily available when needed, Especially after hours. You can only get them when housekeepers are on duty, Which is about two or three hours a day, So good luck if you work during the day. The towels are filthy, Threadbare, And some have holes in them. The carpet in our room smelled mildewy , And had a big stain right near the front door. The bathroom floor was weak and ready to collapse. Again Bring your own pillows, Theirs are completely flat, And not worth sleeping on. The nasty bedding had cigarette burns and stains on the sheets. Makeshift repairs were evident on the bedspread. The ancient TV had bad reception and a fuzzy, Rolling picture. The dirty filthy walls and wallpaper looked ready to fall off, Looked like no one painted or repaired in years.
I saw several safety hazards while we stayed there, Including shoddy makeshift repairs on the lamps. MOLD was in the bathroom YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bulbs in the room were flickering like a strobe light. I saw junction boxes that had live wires exposed, all in the reach of children. Just out of curiosity I looked at the fire extinguishers throughout the buildings, And saw that most if not all of them were and had been EXPIRED for two or three years.
The housekeepers enter without knocking, Even when a Do Not Disturb sign is on the door. Forget about asking for a vacuum cleaner or anything else. None of the housekeepers speak English, Except the one who acts like she ( please forgive me for not remembering her name.) was doped up, and her Maintenance man husband. If you ask the Maintenance man, (Who also housekeeps) for anything, He gets snotty and says, "Just cuz I live here don't mean I'm on call 24 hours a day!"
And please Forget about the posted price, On the sign, They come up with any excuse to charge MORE. They even raised our rate three times while we were there. The excuses included "Its summertime" And "We have to fix the water bill." Whenever I tried to talk to the manager, He did a lot of fast talking, when he wasn't too busy babbling on the phone in another language. He also yelled, and became BELLIGERENT with me and my spouse. He acts like he is so much better than the customers that stay there, When in Reality he should be grateful we spent our money there. He literally said to me, "If you don't like it, I am happy if you called another hotel," SO I DID!!!!
The pool is completely disgusting, YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Falling apart, Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years! I refused too even set foot in that pool. The Breakfast if that's what you call it, is a joke!!! Stale donuts and really bad coffee YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Used condoms and drug evidence was in the grass and on the sidewalk right next to my our room. Don't let your kids play outside here you never know what they might pick up here! I saw police cars on the premises most nights, and sometimes during the day.
the door lock on my front door of our room fell apart in my hands one morning, When I tried to open it. When I went the to the night attendant for help, He yelled at me, And THREATENED to quit his job! This is amazing, Because I have witnessed him several times SLEEPING on the lobby couch instead of working at all. The door doesn't even have proper weather stripping, Looks like it has been kicked in.
If you want FRUSTRATIONS come to Knights Inn. If you want a safe, Decent place to stay, Just drive on by. The only good things about this motel, AND I DID SAY MOTEL. are the cheap Laundry and cheap vending machines, Assuming that they are working the day you use them. (PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even worse, people walk in the premises half-bare bodies. There were cops on one of the days we have stayed (April 13, 2012). When I was microwaving pizza in the lobbie, another tenant called: the frontdesk rep was saying "if you need the room to be vaccumed, you need to come and take the vaccum cleaner and do it yourself."
Looking at the kind of other tenants walking around, it looked like the place is used by the city to provide accommodation for homeless people.
Stay away this place. Wyndham should take this place out of their network.
When I was checking out the manager was arguing with a guest about money in front of everyone else. The guest was right, was being taken advantage of and was complaining to the manager. That guy doesn't get it.
No wonder the parking lot is empty!
The staff will lie outright in order to sell you a room. Just after being told at check-in that the pool is "open and ready' [for use], we were informed it was closed. It wasn't even 9pm and they didn't bother to mention this when we were checking in. Similarly, the laundry service wasn't available: it would be nice to be informed of this when we asked about it at check-in rather than later.
The toilet leaks and when I told the clerk -who was busy sitting on the couch watching a gambling show- he wasn't even interested enough to stand up.
The front desk clerk sits and watches tv and every time I had a problem they seem to do 1: Call somebody else and speak in a foreign language for an extended period of time or 2: nothing at all. They didn't offer to move me to another room or bother to apologize for legitimate problems (like the leaking toilet).
While "continental breakfast" is a term that gets thrown around a lot, this takes the prize for worse ever. To these hotel operators it means they put 9 (yes, they said exactly 9) donuts out in the morning and they never replenish them.
