My wife and I needed a peaceful get away, had heard of Susan's from a friend. We had a great time at the B and B, with Susan and Otis. The view was fantastic and the stay was great. Not a lot going on, on the island while we were there but that is exactly what we needed. We will...

The wife and I visited with Susan in October, 2016. I had wanted to visit Smith Island for years to check out the place. It's pretty much in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay, 8 miles from the mainland. Susan runs a great B&B. If you're looking for fancy spa, this is not for you. If you expect a 5...

Susan is a charming woman, and a 13th generation islander. She knows where to go and what to do in Ewell. Her home is a welcome respite from the world - clean, comfortable and she can't do enough to make you at home, offering bikes, boats and dinner. Her breakfasts are spectacular, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are air...

Overnight accommodations and limited in Ewell on Smith Island and this is the best you can get. You can't really get a feel for the place and culture in a day trip, so plan on at least one evening on the island. Susan Evans is a gracious host who turns her home over to you and makes you feel like...

My wife and I visited after a hectic week of work and family issues. The pace slows at Susan's B&B on Smith Island. This is the finest B&B I have visited (not the best appointed but the warmest and friendliest). Tip: First, when you go, sign up to have Susan Evans (a 13th generation Islander), make the dinners ($30 extra)...

Susan Evans made her home our home. Fabulous meals, comfortable bed, and the friendliest hospitality ever. Smith Island is a waterman's town dating from the 1600's - a special experience we highly recommend! Get out to the island on the Island Belle from the Crisfield MD City Dock.

Susan's B&B is excellent! From the delicious home cooked breakfasts, dinners, Smith Island Cake, and home made ice cream to the B&B itself and its comfy beds, everything was 5 star awesome! The enclosed front porch has a spectacular view of the Chesapeake Bay. I also enjoyed sitting on Adirondack chairs right in front of the bay and using the...

There are no words to describe our wonderful stay at Susan’s on Smith Island! Susan is a 13th generation Smith Islander. Both her and most of her family live and have lived on Smith Island full time since the 1600s! The B&B is RIGHT ON THE WATER. A lovely screened porch with rockers look out at the most incredible water...

My girlfriend and I stayed there for a weekend and we really had a nice time. Susan, the owner, was so warm and gracious. The B&B is quite charming and Susan made really good food for us. One morning she made crab meat omelettes for us that were heavenly! For dinner, she made the best crab cakes I've ever had....
