Charming1700s B&B/hotel/restaurant/bar. Comfortable spacious room, we had a Captain room. It could use some updating, and I don’t mean fixing 1700s crooked doors and sloped floors. I’m talking about simple things like: shower faucet spray had many plugged nozzles and wouldn’t stay in position, simply...More
My husband and I stopped in for lunch after a short ferry ride to Oxford. An authentic colonial inn and tavern. I had the grilled Watermelon salad. Unusual and a great balance of sweet and savory. My husband had the fish and chips. Yummy.
I wanted to like this establishment. The people who work here are most friendly and very helpful, which is great. The rooms are so-so at best. Wall paper is peeling and the AC units are noisy. Although the linens were nice, the bed was just...More
This inn is over 300 years old, which my cousin and I found fascinating. My cousin was visiting me from the West Coast and wanted to see the Eastern Shore. We stayed at the Robert Morris Inn and had a wonderful time. We made reservations...More
We visited in late April, when it had been unusually warm the whole week (90 degrees). Despite the heat, the hotel had not put in the window AC units and was only using fans. The room must have been 80 degrees, just miserable. The staff...More

We didn't notice any noise problems and thought the Inn was very quiet. It seemed to have full occupancy. We didn't notice any peeling wallpaper either. Our room was in the original part of the building and while door frames weren't square it did not affect the structure and stability. We feel it is a very well maintained and well run property. The bio info on Robert Morris shows he was very important in the founding of our country.

I've stayed at older Inns and this one was charming. We stayed in a Captains room in Feb that was very cozy, not meaning small, it had a separate sitting area. Our bathroom had a claw foot rub and everything was nice and clean. Don't get me wrong, it could use some updates but that didn't make my stay unsatisfactory at all. The food was outstanding. I've been wanting to make the hour drive back just to dine in again!
