For our winter birding trip to Blackwater National Wildlife Reserve we decided to spend the weekend at Sandaway Waterfront Lodging in historic Oxford, Maryland. Our Delux Waterfront Suite on the 2nd floor really did have a panoramic view of the Bay, and we could even see a flock of Common Goldeneye from our warm and comfortable King bed. The lodging...

My husband and I cam here after an intense 2+ week road trip, and it was the perfect choice. Our room was beautiful--overlooking the Bay-- and well-appointed. We spent two relaxing evenings sitting by the water in relaxing Adirondack Chairs watching the sunset. In the morning we had a continental breakfast bushel basket delivered to our door and we returned...

Neat relaxing B&B in sleepy Oxford, MD. Tranquil, restful with great water views. Ideal wind down battery recharging place. We try to spend Labor Day weekends there and use it as a base while we explore, St Michaels and Easton. Many vacationers pass by these towns while during Route. 50 to the shore resorts. They may be passing up some...

This was the second time my boyfriend and I have been at Sandaway, and we can't wait to head back. We walked through the small town of Oxford, watched the sun rise and set, walked along the beach, rented bikes, took the ferry and biked to St. Michaels, ate at 2 wonderful restaurants, and relaxed the porch. Sandaway has so...

The Sandaway is located on a spectacularly beautiful waterfront point on a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay in the small boating town of Oxford, Maryland. Guests have access to a wonderful, gently-sloping lawn directly on the waterfront, and many of the rooms have beautiful sunset views of the water from both inside and on private screened porches directly attached to...

We went for a quiet getaway and found a wonderful town. The stay at Sandaway was more then we expected. We loved that most rooms had a private screened in porch and lots are facing the water.
