I will never stay here again. I arrived at 7.30pm looking forward to dinner to be told the bar/restaurant are closed on a Sunday evening. In more than 20 years of traveling on business this is the first time I have ever come across this. I was told 'it says so on the website', as if it was somehow my...

My husband and I found a Groupon deal and stayed here for a night away. We were welcomed warmly however on getting to our room we noticed multiple stains on the bed linen and there was some damage to the upholstery on the chair. We mentioned this to a member of staff and they did offer us a complimentary bottle...

,, I attended a charity lunch here. The meal was good - starter of gruyere cheese tartlet, main course, chicken with duphenoise potato & veg, followed by a delicious fruit & mousse pavlova. All courses were delightfully presented & excellently cooked. The venue was very pleasant & an official who had stayed there the previous night said the rooms were...

My husband and I spent a night here recently to celebrate his sixtieth birthday. Good points: Friendly, pleasant staff. Both the evening meal [half a dozen choices of starter, main courses and desserts from the a la carte menu] were well cooked and attractively presented. Service was prompt and professional. Bed was very comfortable and tea/coffee making facilities were provided...

Stayed here mid April for my boyfriends birthday and had a lovely time. Whilst there I was debating what I would rate the place and I ended on a four rather than a three due to the fact that they carried out everything I had arranged as planned which I was really grateful for (handmade chocolates in the room on...

I booked a night away for a surprise for my partner. Stunning building from the outside. When we checked in we were given no information at all about breakfast, the free wifi or checkout. Not to worry as we thought we'd check it out in the information pack in the room. Slight problem with that. There was no information on...

On arrival a lovely women welcomed us and offered to carry our luggage up to the room. When we left the same women helped to take some of our luggage to the car. We were given a complementary upgrade on our room. Gorgeous bathroom, room and bathroom very modern. Breakfast was fantastic (vegetarian breakfast). We would return purely for the...

Booked in for a night away, and dinner. Room was lovely, grumpy evening staff made our meal feel very rushed. Food was over priced and tasteless. - very helpful receptionist in the run up to our stay with having prosecco on ice for our arrival.

Booked Sunday lunch with family here and the food was terrible. The set menu had a very limited choice which included watered down soup, extremely undercooked beef and not much else. When I asked for a coffee to come out with the desserts (which had to be ordered at the start of the meal) I was told to wait as...

Lovely hotel in great location for Avon Beach, Muddiford, Christchurch and Lymington. Very comfortable lounge area and restaurant. Bedroom adequate even the budget room we selected for our short stay. We will use this hotel again when visiting this area.
