Very sweet bed and breakfast Elizabeth is a great host and will answer any questions you have. Love the book theme the place has! We stayed in the Jane Austen room and was very happy. The bathroom is gorgeous!

The owners of Alexander House have created a beautiful environment with clever touches. The house and gardens are lovely. The detail involved in creating each space must have taken quite some time. It's a nice place to be, good food, and little touches—music playing in the evenings in the café, pastries, tea, water, fruit, etc. There was sherry waiting for... More

My husband and I had a relaxing and pleasant weekend at Alexander's Booklover's Bed & Breakfast in Princess Anne, MD. It was perfect to get away from the TV and choose one of the many books all around this beautiful 1885 Victorian house. Breakfast was delicious, and snacks, drinks are always available too. It is a good location for many... More

The host was super nice and the b&b was beautiful. Alexander House has a library where you can borrow books to read at any hour of the night. Tea and pastries are always available, and you get a great fresh cooked breakfast on weekends. Overall a very pleasurable experience.

My husband and I spent an evening at the B&B for our First anniversary and we had such a WONDERFUL time. Elizabeth and her husband were so friendly and inviting. I really love that it is a “shoe free” B&B. Not only does help to keep the house clean and allergy free, but it makes the whole experience that much... More

My husband and I were in Princess Anne on Memorial Day weekend for a family wedding, and we could not have been more pleased with our stay at Alexander House. The email confirmation that we received two weeks before our stay gave us specific driving directions, parking instructions, recommendations for local recreation and sight-seeing opportunities, local restaurant reviews, a review... Don't let the name Princess Anne fool you. This B&B doesn't sit amidst idyllic Victorian homes, rather abandoned homes with boarded up windows right around the corner. There is no guest parking except for the street which left me quite uncomfortable. The innkeeper greeted us by asking us to remove our shoes so she could show us around. The "veranda"... More

This is such an outrageous review that I will respond to the gentle readers of Trip Advisor, rather than this “reviewer” directly… This guest called us from her car EXTREMELY anxious and agitated saying “there are no other cars parked on the street around your house—I’m afraid to park on the street”. I assured her everyone parks on the street,... More

Actually had to cancel this reservation due to illness. Had passed through and visited previously and was very impressed and had been greatly looking forward to this visit. When I had to cancel, they could not have been nicer or more helpful. Looking forward to visiting in the future!!!

This is a nice B&B for readers. We enjoyed sitting in the Mark Twain Reading Room poking around the books on the shelves. We even found a book we liked so much we bought it soon thereafter! The innkeeper is a nice lady and was fun to talk to. We stayed in the Jane Austen Room and loved the claw... More

I was on business in Princess Anne and couldn't find my usual chain hotel, so decided to give this B&B a try. It was a very nice stay! I stayed in the Jane Austin suite, which was a nice size and had its own bathroom. I also liked that the B&B had wireless internet access, and I sat in the... More
