10 am the owner came banging on my hotel door, checkout was by 11 am, he then opened my door. Yep tried to come in but the chain stopped him. THANKFUL I had the chain on the door and yes even the Do Not Disturb sign was on the handle. See when I heard the banging I had just showered and got dressed so I did look out peep hole when I heard the banging and then the door just opened in my face. I did pull back so it did not hit me but he opened my door!!!! I took a second and was really pissed off at this. I opened the door and looked out and down the sidewalk there the owner or person that checked me in the day before was. He came running up to my face and stood a foot from me by the way with no mask on saying "oh I wanted to check if you were checking out today. If you'd be gone today. I saw that your car is still here and wanted to check." What the actual heck I'm thinking. I said to him "Yeah before 11 am" so yeah I left there like 10 minutes later after I got my son and our things into the car. So that huge issue was the last straw. This place needs to be shut down. It looks nothing like the pictures. The underpass you pull under to go into the office, the roof and building materials are hanging down like it had major storm damage or something and it was just left there to rot. The pool I didn't even ask about because it was green and mucky looking like no one used it in a long, long, time and definitely had no chlorine in it at all. I did not attempt breakfast at this place. When I checked in the guy was rubbing his nose and then touched everything and didn't have any mask on. I thought that it was mandatory for staff there but guess not. Our room the toilet had brown dirt or mold all over the seat. I cleaned this off myself as we got in late and I was just exhausted from driving to report it. I too felt off about the person who checked me in and I guess I was right as the next day he entered my room or rather tried to. Also, around the toilet lid was dried pee, gross, and the seat itself was not attached properly. One side of the seat was not connected. The shower had long-time grime and mold on shower head and around the bottom of the tub. Tub itself had many scratches in the bottom so you could see the metal part of the tub. The floor we had to keep our shoes on as it was sticky! Yes, sticky! There was also a missing floor tile. The room smelled of smoke and I asked for a smoke free room. When I left the next day I saw a half burnt cigarette in front of my door like someone tossed it there and let it burn. I then looked around and the sidewalk and all around my car had cigarette butts all over the place. I guess people or staff were up smoking in front of my door that night or morning. I looked and it was just my area. What the heck again. I have asthma so it was important to me to have a smoke free stay and that did not happen so yeah the next day I felt like crap only to have the owner/manager or whatever come banging on my door and attempt to enter my room!

I travel a lot and this was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in, as far as cleanliness especially at a time like this -pandemic. Anyways arrived here and check-in was supposed to be 2 pm. Room wasn't ready until 3:30pm. Couldn't have been because housekeeping was cleaning it because it was beyond filthy. The floors hadn't been cleaned or mopped probably in months. The desk chair had food stuck in the back bend. The countertops were dirty, and the most disgusting was the bathroom. The bathtub was unbelievable. We could not even take a shower. The tub was not usable...it had been patched up with a yellow glue like substance that turned the water yellow. There was a mildew wet mat covering it. There was hair everywhere and dead flies underneath the mat. We called the owner. He came to look and said that there was a crack and that was the fix. We asked for another room but they didn't have anymore rooms available. Unfortunately for us either did any other hotel around the area. We wanted to go to the pool but that looked like it hadn't been cleaned the whole summer. We asked the lady at front desk could someone clean it and she stated there was no one. The smoke alarm looked like it was growing mold and probably didn't work because there was no light on it. I can say the air conditioner worked but made the room smell like mildew. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location was good. The beds weren't comfortable but the sheets were clean. So please DO NOT waste your money. Staff not welcoming at all!!

Cons: 1. Outdoor appearances very unpleasant: the exterior of hotel needs urgent repainting and renovating. This is one of those motels where the bedroom doors are all exterior-facing, which didn’t feel very safe, especially with the sketchy and uneven steps and flickering lights. 2. The gentleman on duty when we checked in was both rude and unprofessional: dressed in flannel pajamas at 9.30pm (!) and blinking heavily and irritatedly as though I’d woken him up. Not sure what he was doing when we arrived, but he barely mumbled a word in my direction. I felt as though I’d walked in on someone sleeping in their home. Very awkward. 3. Beds very uncomfortable. Struggled to sleep and woke up with a back ache. 4. Air conditioning extremely loud - hard to sleep with it on, even with ear plugs, but too hot without it. Pros: 1. Despite the ghastly exterior appearance of the hotel, the room itself was surprisingly clean. 2. Fridge and microwave in the room were clear and very useful. 3. Smooth checkout procedure.
