If you're looking for a place to have a conference, business meetings or small function, this is the place to go. Scenic grounds, nice rooms, great food and service are all here. If you have a chance to stay here, do so. You'll be glad you did.

If you are planning a conference for about 30 people, this is the best possible setting if you value intimacy, history, simple elegance and fine dining. You have the choice of the historic Houghton House or more modern River House, but if you book enough rooms, you get exclusive use of either property with concierge services through the Aspen Institute,...

We spent the weekend at Wye River for a very special birthday celebration. We were amazed at how beautiful the grounds are. We stayed in the Houghton Mansion and it was simply gorgeous. It was quiet and it almost felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We wandered around and marveled at the decor. Our room was simply...

This Marriott location only takes business meetings and events. I was a guest as part of a business retreat. Pros: Sleeping spaces are in cottage-type buildings. I only stayed in one of the cottages and it was extremely clean. The main area contained casual seating, a baby grand and a mini fridge with several bottles of water so guests didn't...

Once again we brought faculty from our University to have a 3.5 day immersion retreat. This time, we only used Houghton House and we were 10 total. The hotel staff are amazing in trying to meet our needs. The chefs prepared amazing meals and breaks for us. We started the day with yoga outside (contracted with a yoga instructor from...

This beautiful Georgian mansion is kept in all style and luxury, surrounded by beautiful gardens amidst a gorgeous landscape of farmlands, wood and rivers. It presents all the facilities and advantages a conference must have, plus the tranquility and beauty that invites to reflection, peace of mind and positive atmosphere. A perfect place in every sense.

I attended a wedding at this beautiful location. The hotel is run by Marriott and I was able to collect Marriott points for the stay. There seem to be different levels of accommodations; I think mine was on the lower end. Check in is at Houghton House which is a beautiful property. It seemed totally up to date and absolutely...

Stayed at the Houghton House property and had a great experience at the conference hotel. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and pampered. The grounds are beautiful. The food was out of this world...try the hot mustard barbecue sauce!
