You get what you pay for at this place, so it wasn't bad for the price and location. It's not a typical B&B experience. For me, it felt more like I'd rented a room in someone's home on Airbnb - which was totally fine for me, but might not be for some. When asked what time I wanted breakfast, I...

This is a cool old house that seems like it requires too much upkeep for the owner to handle. I told my husband that it looked how it would look if I owned it because there were so many undone chores staring me in the face. Even piles of bills in the common areas and eyeliner laying out for quick...

We chose this Inn because it was close to where our son lives. What a pleasant surprise to have it be a beautiful old victorian house on a quiet heavily treed with an eclectic collection of furnishings and an equally eclectic inn keeper. Francoise made us feel very much at home. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are very...

We arrived and were expecting the innkeeper franciose that many of the reviews rated as a very charming, hospitable innkeeper. However, we did not meet her, we met her ex husband Jim who was a very kind man. He said he did not fill on for about a year or so, but he was very pleasant. It was the perfect...

Cosy, comfortable, romantic, it has it all what to expect from a perfect bed & breakfast. Francoise is an incredible host. The breakfast was fantastic. The location was excellent, walking distance to 2 metro stations and so close to DC.

The Etta Mae Inn is the most charming and reasonably-price place to stay with easy access to every place you'd want to visit in the DC area. Our extended family always stays there whenever we visit our children who work in DC. I was just there this month again, and it's perfect! Highly recommended!

We returned to Etta Mae Inn over a warm and sunny Mother's day weekend. Such a pleasure to enjoy the lovely flowering yard and broad breezy front porch- the blossoms of early summer were in full display whereas they were only starting in our home, Ohio. Parking in her driveway is such a convenience. We stayed in the Kiara. The...

My husband and I recently spent a long weekend at the Etta Mae. It was the most comfortable, relaxing, friendly place we've stayed in the U.S. The house is historically interesting and beautifully furnished. Francoise, the owner, is a lovely lady and gracious hostess. It is located within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood is quiet and safe...

As I prepare to return to visit family in Takoma Park I immediately thought of returning to Etta Mae Inn. This fall we made a quick trip to the area to help during a family crisis. Francoise was a gracious hostess and her home is lovely decorated with family treasures. Our room was extremely comfortable and elegant and our breakfast...

I discovered the Etta Mae Inn several years ago when looking for a place to stay near Washington DC and we enjoyed our stay there so much that we have returned many times since. We have stayed in all three rooms, the last being the Kia. The bathroom is not ensuite, but rather a private bathroom that is located just...
