I attended a wedding here and the outdoor setting is drop dead gorgeous. As a former plantation, all accommodations are spread out on the property in varying styles of decor and amenities. All are comfortable but be aware that there are no phones in the rooms; not an issue with cellphones except materials all indicate to call the front desk...

Gorgeous grounds....beautiful historic mansion surrounded by very unique guesthouses in historic out buildings. Lovely rose garden in the warmer months, but definitely a "must see" when decorated for the Christmas holidays. Roaring fireplaces with afternoon tea followed by a wonderful dinner in The Smokehouse, made this a perfect romantic visit. Oozes with charm and coziness!

Everything about the Antrim was top notch, but it starts with quality staff. We arrived pretty early, but when they saw my wife was 8 months pregnant, they got our room ready immediately. They even offered us a first floor room instead of the second floor one so we wouldn't have to do stairs (we politely declined). Our room was...

Fabulous prixe fixe meal. Hors douvres on arrival, hot and cold. Drinks served in the library with live piano playing, then you are escorted to your table where an extensive wine list is offered. Menu is offered where you can pick your appetizer, then soup or salad, finally your entree. Desert to follow. Allow lots of time for your meal.

Truly an opulent Hotel with several Houses on the beautiful property. Rooms in the Manor House (main building) were fantastic --- warm, rich and finely furnished Parlors, meeting rooms and restaurant to include Veranda dining as you look at the well-manicured gardens used for weddings and other fine events.

Stayed here while on a business trip to Antietam. Beautiful rooms with nice comfy beds. Floors creak just like in a old house but I loved it. Nice large bathrooms, free bottled water to drink, fluffy towels etc. Dinner was good but a lot of the men in our group thought the portions were small. Add more bread to make...

Spent 3 day weekend here on a pleasure trip to do some area history sightseeing. The hotel was quaint and decorated with fabulous antiques and old portraits. Breakfast was part of package-yummy! Staff was the best! Highly highly recommend for people who enjoy nice B&B's over traditional hotel. No TV though in most rooms if you care. Newspaper and coffee...

We arrived to the Estate on a chilly, winter night where we were warmly greeted by the Antrim 1844 Staff. Walking up the steps to the Main House felt like we were walking through a time portal back to a simpler era. The beauty of Antrim 1844 is the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere that one would experience in a familiar place....

I really had the winter blues and needed a treat to get me thru. Friends have been talking about Antrim for several years so my husband and I decided to go. It was perfect. The room (we stayed in the Chamberlain suite) was lovely. It had a fire place and a jet tub both of which were put to use....

Came here for 5 nights. 2 nights Taney, 3 in Boucher. Rooms romantic. Inn tucked away in rolling hills of North Maryland. 15 min to Gettysburg. 1 hr 10 min to Glenmont subway station to Washington. We went to DC three day trips. Combination of relaxation, charm, service but especially romance this place hard to beat. Room rates good, should...
