We stayed for two nights to attend a wedding. The location was great - a short path down to the beach. What made it extra nice was the VERY helpful & friendly staff. Even after returning late one night, we requested an extra blanket of the one gentleman who was dealing with a large group in the lobby. He took car of us with a smile. The next morning we were looking for a quiet place for a few family members to gather - once again a friendly staff member provided us with a great option.

Wylie Inn is comfortable and close to Manchester by Sea & Gloucester area. Rooms are ordinary. Inn is quiet with lovely grounds and a wonderful beach. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Room was very clean. This was our second stay at the Wylie Inn and would return again.

The hotel was clean and very close to activities at Endicott College. The beach is right behind the property making it convenient. The room we stayed in was a one bed (full size) that was TINY! If you don’t have a car know you’re not within walking distance of much including food. Delivery options are very limited. Uber is a long wait and the nearest cab company comes from Salem. There is a “restaurant” on the property open only a couple evenings and offers four items -run by a couple early 20 somethings with attitudes. The only ammenity is a fitness room which is very nice. The inside of this property Looks like it was once a dorm that was converted to a hotel. You get what you pay for given the price is very affordable- traveling with a car then you d be all right but be sure to get a double room if there is more than one of you.

While the facility is impressive in its physical and visual appearance, we were shocked when she tried to enter the room, but our door was fortunately latched as we were in bed on Sunday morning of Father's Day!) to clean our room when checkout was clearly specified as 11:00am. When I complained to the manager, he failed to apologize for the inconvenience and intrusion and said "they just like to get the rooms cleaned"...whaaaat!). Secondly, it wasn't until the morning when we were leaving that we discovered that our room was directly over the lobby registration desk. This would have made our comings and goings much easier that walking all the way down the first floor corridor and taking an elevator all the way back to the room. They were clueless and not serving us well. If you are staying here, be prepared for extreme stupidity from the staff, and no sense of responsibility for your convenience or leisure from the staff. And for $250 per night!

A very nice place to stay in Beverly, Massachusetts! Front desk check in was warm, hospitable, and a "breeze" (Thank you Karen; a real nice person!). Overall, the hotel was friendly and hospitable. I would definitely stay there again.
