We stayed two nights with Pete and Barbara at Joy house, they are both extremely welcoming, breakfast is a feast and there are cold drinks in the fridge, crisps on the table, and coffee / tea available whenever you need it, they also have a hot tub in the garden which we did not actually use but another family there... I travelled from Scotland and spent two nights here with my two children and husband. We loved it, the accomodation was wonderful, two bedrooms which linked and a lovely shower room. We could also use the television/ computer room , the sun room and the lovely garden. The fridge was always stocked up with cool drinks and coffee and snack... More

Enjoyable stay at this lovely historic home. The inn keepers were warm and welcoming. They accommodated my dietary issues and served creative tasty breakfasts daily. We were enamored with the historic structure and great location. We met the sweet beagles who are so entertaining. It's a good place for folks who enjoy meeting new people and a warm breakfast filled... More

My husband stayed here during July 4th this year. It is a very cozy house, the host are super nice. They offer delicious breakfast, and if you a dog lover, they have 6 cute dogs at home. Location is pretty convenient too!

we live 30 minutes south of Boston on the south shore of Massachusetts. We have been vacationing in dennisport since we were kids.. I.e 1970's yup we are not kids. We never came upon the Joy Inn but we're down the cape this spring for the Yarmouth road race ( neighboring town) and gave Joy Inn a shot. Super friendly... More

Peter and Barbara were wonderful hosts at this old style bed and breakfast, nothing was too much trouble and we learnt about the area. The rooms are in a relocated captains house, with lots of charm and quirks. Breakfast was a treat each day, the facilities were terrific (including a spa and sitting room) and we enjoyed the nearby restaurants... More

We stayed at the Joy House for 6 nights in mid July. The inn is an old sea captain's home with lots of character. Our room was the Shaker Room upstairs, which requires deftness on the very steep stairs. The room was lovely, but as with the whole house, it needed a good spring cleaning. The breakfasts included fresh fruit... More

I stayed at Joy House the first weekend in June and it was a delight. It's located in Dennis Port right in the middle of Cap Cod...great for sightseeing. It's a 230 year old inn, filled with history. The owners Peter and Barbara are great innkeepers making their guests feel at home away from home. There are three guests rooms.... More

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Joy House last week and were VERY disappointed. The house was quite dirty (scum in the sink and shower!) and nothing like the pictures. The breakfast was terrible too. We could only stomach a couple of bites. It's a real shame because the owner was extremely nice and the house seemed... More

This is a true vintage setting, and the host Peter can tell you the story behind it. Morning call with the Rachmaninov Piano Concerto #2 in full power was a classic. For the two rooms upstairs, you need to be physically capable to climb the steep stairs. The beagles are the sweet spots of our stay. They are lovely and... More

“B&B, no swimming pool or fitness center. However, they do have a hot tub and easy access to many natural opportunitties for fitness (regional bike trails, Atlantic beach walking and swimming in warmer weather, nature trails for walking). I stayed in the Shaker room which is a lovely sunny yellow, with lots of natural light.”
