We received a gift certificate for a wedding present. We scheduled a long weekend visit and purposely selected a room that we felt was comfortable and private away from the main house. When we got there, the owners had decided to give our selected room to someone else and put us in a room directly within the patio area at...

The Whalewalk Inn website was misleading. The breakfasts were below average and the coffee was lousy! The hot tubs were turned off from 10pm until 8:30am! The waitstaff & housekeeping were attentive and the rooms were clean, but the managers and the rooms were in need of a makeover. The bed and pillows weren't comfortable. This places was once probably...

Right off the Orleans Rotary but in a quiet neighborhood. Innkeepers are a wonderful couple and really make everyone feel welcome. Food is outstanding and prices not bad at all. Highly recommended to couples.

I have stayed here on several occasions when my extended family rents a nearby home each August. The Inn is beautifully decorated, clean, and offers every amenity right down to towels for the beach. Elaine, one of the Innkeepers, goes out of her way to make one feel at home. The morning I departed I was hurrying to meet friends...

We just returned from our third annual summer visit to The Whalewalk Inn, and we enjoyed every minute. The location is perfect- quiet and beautiful, but still convenient to the bike trail, beaches, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast on the outdoor patio is always a treat and the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed.

We stay here at least twice a year for multiple days at a time. We love everything about it. The atmosphere, the hosts, the cleanliness, the breakfast!! That one reviewer must have been having a bad day to write that review. We have been coming for several years and have never been disappointed!!

Thanks for your wonderful words and encouragement! We always enjoy your visits -- amazing how some guests who visit the Inn become family. Our family is growing by leaps and bounds, and we love every minute of it.

Delightful place, wonderful hosts, great breakfasts. The room was spotless, and well maintained during our stay. On a couple of occasions the hosts "went the extra mile" to accommodate some of our needs. In all it was a great experience, the exact opposite of what "RitaJane21" describes. We would definitely stay there again.

Whalewalk Inn is such a wonderful place that when we are picking out a place to celebrate our anniversary, we end up here every year - for at least the last 6 years! This year we spent three nights here instead of our usual two, and I highly recommend having the additional night to fully enjoy the place. Eastham, where...

We have never stayed at a property that The Innkeeper was so unfriendly. She barely smiled, was curt and really couldn't be bothered making suggestions to us. Whenever we tried being pleasant, complimentary or friendly to her(AND her husband when we saw him once) they gave major attitude and were very cold to us. What was supposed to be a...

My wife and I like to unwind on the Cape and our favorite place to stay is the Whalewalk Inn. Our most recent trip was unfortunately cut short when my wife's father became seriously ill. We had booked for 2 nights but had to leave after one night. Kevin and Elaine, the Inn Keepers were very understanding and did not...

Thank you for your kind words. I like Barn 2 also. It has Cape Cod charm and lots of room to spread out. The deck is a great 3 season place to relax, and soak up the rays. Hope all went well with your Dad and understand the need to be there for him. We only get one. See you...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Reader’s Choice Silver Award Winner for the Outer Cape for 2011Readers of Cape Cod Life Magazine have voted, and we are the Silver 2011 winners of the Best of the Cape and Islands Bed & Breakfast Inn on the Outer Cape! The Boston Globe Magazine Travel Section, Sunday, May 15, 2011 highlighted different summer destinations for New England. Eastham was described as a “Cape Cod retreat, home of the National Seashore, where rolling dunes serve as a soft welcome mat for the steady surf.” Only two businesses were mentioned -- The Whalewalk Inn & Spa, as the lodging choice; and Arnold’s Lobster House on Route 6, as the restaurant of choice.Get away from the hustle and bustle of your every day life. Come and relax at Cape Cod’s most romantic and secluded country Inn – quietly tucked away on a country road, but centrally located to all the attractions that make Cape Cod so special. Walk the ‘Outer Cape’ beaches, listening to the soothing sound of the waves, lapping on Cape Cod Bay or crashing at the National Seashore. Partake in some of the finest dining that the Cape has to offer, beginning here each day with a gourmet breakfast served to you at your own private table.Become a part of the history that makes this Inn so special. The Inn was built in 1830 for Henry Harding, a renowned whaling captain. In the early nineteen hundreds it became a gentleman’s farm, known as Whalewalk Farm, then owned by the Kent family of PR Lorillard tobacco fame. With a cow and horse still living in what is now the Salt Box Cottage, the farm was purchased in 1953 and turned into an inn. Since that time it has been authentically restored and creatively redecorated. The common rooms are filled with the Innkeeper’s extensive Waterford Crystal collection, 19th century country antiques from England and France, fresh flowers, and oriental rugs for a warm welcome to start your stay. ... more   less
