I am so disappointed by this hotel. We have been coming to the Kelley House for years, but for the last couple years it has really gone downhill.
When we started staying at the Kelley House it was a "historic colonial hotel". It had an...More
The mattresses appear to be nearly as old as the hotel, bent with weak springs. Low ceilings, small windows, open on very touristy (loud) square with little local flavor left. Martha's Vineyard was once an isolated island where accommodations like this were expected and in...More
Stayed here 3 nights over the weekend of Aug 18. Somehow when we made the reservations and saw the price was $500/night, with an extremely poor cancellation policy (essentially no money back if you cancel less than 2 wks or so prior to arrival), I...More
I just stayed at the hotel for a family get away. The rooms were renovated but had chipped furniture and walls. The floors were dirty. After I showered the bottoms of my feet were black when I walked around the room. The carpets in the...More
Went to MV for a wedding. The location is wonderful and sadly that's pretty much the best thing I can say about this place that cost us $500+ a night. We only stayed here for 3 days and it was at the recommendation of the...More

After staying at the Kelley House over the New Year celebration I would ask them if they have updated there hot water issues as they ran out of hot water on the first day of our stay and then in the afternoon there was an issue with the heat not working. The rooms are dated but more importantly the necessaty to maintain their hot water & HVAC systems is basic human need. The location of this hotel is wonderful as you know but I would question the updating of the very system that provide basic need.
