Boyfriend and I went away for the weekend and Brian and Linda welcomed us into their home as friends. The house is absolutely beautiful. I like that we all had keys to our own rooms, it felt like we were at a hotel or something, and that we could fill out a breakfast order form. The cookies on the dining... More

I've booked my family to stay here for the 2nd time because I trust the proprietors, location and service. The owners are the kindest of people, really focused on making the best experience possible for their guests. The proximity to Fitchburg State University is such a plus. If you catch a weekend when a speaker, presenter or performer is coming,... More

You won't find a better place to stay in the area. The owners were fantastic, caring and helpful The breakfast menu was the best. We stayed a week and had different breakfast almost every day. Brian & Linda are great cooks.

Preparing to attend a reunion that would bring us back to the area, we decided to see if there were any bed and breakfasts nearby. When we discovered the Howarth House, little did we realize it would become the highlight of the entire trip! Linda and Brian are superb hosts that truly welcome their guests as family. My family and I rented out all 3 rooms Howarth House has to offer on the weekend of our wedding. We were able to all stay together, as they were all in from out-of-state. It was so relaxing to have the entire weekend together in a homey environment, rather than a hotel. The food was fantastic, and Brian and Linda... More

We were attending a family event in the area and spent three nights at Howarth House. It was perfect! Beautiful house, beautiful property, warm and unobtrusive hosts, fantastic (and big) breakfast! Great location -- felt like we were in a mansion in the woods, even though we were only a block from the Fitchburg State campus. Super quiet, watched birds... More

My 10 yr old son and I were fortunate to get a room at the Howarth House last minute on a Saturday night. The house and the grounds were magnificent. Brian and his wife were great hosts and we utilized all that they had to offer. Dip in the pool, cigar and a game of billiards, and a wonderful breakfast... More
