My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Terrace last summer. It is located near the hear of Lenox, within walking distance of all of the restaurants and shops. The amenities and rooms are first-rate, and the owners see to every detail. We recommend staying for several says; it is an experience worth savoring.

Here I going to agree with the use of the word "perfect" in a review. Lenox IS perfect and we are very lucky that all Lenox attractions are within short walking distance. There are dozens of shops, 15 restaurants of all types, galleries, historic house tours, museums.... And I agree, stay at least two nights to hit even the edited...

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Terrace. The rooms were cozy with a corner fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was great and Stan the owner couldn't have been nicer! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Thank you! We really appreciate the recommendation and the reason I am nice is that I mirror our guests. It can be quite pleasant here around the inn, and my commute to work is down the grand staircase.

Stan was an amazing host, the inn is perfect, and the stay was great. We stayed the weekend before Christmas, which is apparently a slow time, so we had the lodge we were staying in entirely to ourselves. Breakfast was homemade and tasty. Definitely recommend as a romantic vacation!

December is a great time to visit. Hampton Terrace is decorated for the season - and it is true - the crowds are light around the holidays. That means no lines in the restaurants, museums, etc. I do have to admit....the last three reviews have dropped the word "perfect." We will continue to try hard to fulfill expectations!

We stayed at Hampton Terrace during the peak of fall colors. Took many scenic drives of the area and hiked Mount Greylock. Stan is an amazing host and he made sure our stay is perfect. The hotel is close to visiting many area attractions including the Norman Rockwell museum.

Thanks for bringing up how many things there are to do in the area. Our e-mail confirmations include a "List to Help You Plan Your Stay" which describe the best options in various categories: spas, historic house tours, museums, hikes, outdoor sports, shopping, music, theater, etc. All frequent visitors to the Berkshires know there is more to do than can...

Been trying to get away for a night for a while to see friends and family in the Berkshires. I always knew of the Hampton Inn, but never stayed there. It was perfect, warm, and inviting. Stan was a great host, the rooms were clean and spacious, the location to downtown Lenox couldn't have been better, and the entire property...

This quaint Inn is hosted by a very friendly staff with every detail accounted for. The rooms were terrific and the beds, sheets and food exceptional. Very close to town for easy walking to restaurants and shopping. A great find!

A very pleasant experience! Our first time there and definitely plan to return. Stan was a wonderful and very friendly host. Really enjoyed the lovely room, the wonderful Christmas decorations throughout the Inn and the great location (few blocks from the historical center). Breakfast was delicious offering a variety of choices. We had such a great visit during breakfast and...

THAT's what we like to hear. We are so glad that your first experience was good enough to plan a return! We are lucky that about 70% of our summer guests are multiple-repeat. Last summer, I noticed that 13 of 14 couples one weekend were repeat...and I counted the number of times they had stayed here.....over 70. That means, on...

We visited the Hampton Terrace for my husband's 50th birthday and are so glad we did. The home was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the living room was a warm and cozy spot to enjoy a cocktail before heading out to dinner. We stayed in a king suite which was very clean and extremely comfortable. Stan served a delicious breakfast...

We DO hope to see you again soon. Thanks again for such a great review. Our Christmas decorations will stay up through mid-January. Or, for those thinking 2017.....we always have them up the weekend of Thanksgiving.

Although located in a 1897 house, you get all the modern utilities that you require in a hotel. The host was very kind, friendly and helpful, providing from the beginning all the information that you need. Don't miss out an evening in the living room, by the fireplace, with a glass of sherry. The inn is very close to the...

Thanks, Oana! It IS a challenge to combine a 120-year-old home with the modern amenities one would expect in a hotel. We try to blend the best of each. Concerning our attempt to be helpful, we send out advance lists of our recommended local attractions and dining options with the confirmation.....because we do know that most of our guests only...

We love the Hampton Terrace Inn and have stayed there many times over the past few years. Stan is a terrific host and his breakfasts alone are worth the trip. We will be returning soon! There is nothing more flattering to us, than a multiple-repeat guest. Thanks, sincerely, for your friendship and support. You do bring up a point which I want to repeat. We have 14 rooms on the property. 5 are in the main house and offer more of a period feel. You call it "historic classic America." Nice. Our other rooms are...
