This B and B is I the heart of Lexington making it very convenient for historical sites in both Lexington and Concord as well as Boston. Not wishing to drive in or pay for parking in Boston we stayed here at Mary Vans and drove to the Alewife station on the Red Line. This worked very well for a weekend...

Arrived as expected, Mary was not there, evidently she had a date with a few friends that was more important then greeting her paying guests. No lights were on, no signs that said "Welcome, you are in the right house". Very freaky to just be expected to walk into an unlocked house, that you HOPE is the right house and...

We had a great stay at Mary's. Walking/running distance to historic Lexington. Mary was very friendly and helpful with directions and things to do. She made us feel right at home. The breakfast was outstanding. B and B part was clean and homey.

Staying at Mary' Old House is like being at home: the house is old, but very nice and it's located in an elegant and pretty area of Lexington. It's also quite near the subway station to go to Boston. Our room (with a private bathroom) was really spacious for the three of us. She's a very friendly and nice person...

An excellent stay with a wonderful host who is kind to her dogs as well as her guests. Located at the center of so much including nearby Salem it's terrific. Clean. Charming and a wonderful hostess. Great breakfast in the morning and adds to the elegance of a wonderful stay in the area.

We had made a reservation to stay here for 2 nights. We arrived at 1:30 on 1st day and no one was there. We called 4 times between 1:30 and 4:30 and no one answered the phone. Mary finally showed up at 4:45. Said she got "distracted" and forgot the time. Really? We walked in to look at the room...

If you want the sterile-ness of a hotel or the ambience of a quaint country inn go there. This is a traditional B&B - you're staying in someone's home (which she probably can't afford without renting out the rooms). Our bedroom and bath were clean and neat and Mary offers a nice breakfast when you want it (though she may...

Ambrose stated “When in Rome Do as the Romans Do.” Well let me say that vacationing in New England without Mary would have been a shear let down! We loved our time in Mary house and with you! ok, the house is lived in. But the rooms are clean and the stories and advice on where to go and things...

We stayed 2 nights and the room was ok but the kitchen was filthy . The 2nd day Mary went to play golf and left food on the table for us to eat at breakfast. It was cold and we didn't want to eat at this place anyway. Sondra

I was traveling with my 2 kids and stayed here two nights. When I booked the room with Mary, I was told I would have a queen bed with an extra floor mattress for $95/night and this seemed reasonable. When I arrived, we found a single bed and she gave us two "mattresses" (more like body sized overly used pillows)...
