We chose this inn for several reasons: tripadvisor reviews, far enough away from Boston to feel like a vacation, and a desire to visit with relatives in the Berkshires. We were beyond pleased with our choice. First, our room was gigantic, with a beautiful old four poster bed, antique wardrobe, and very comfortable couch and chair for reading. The bathroom...

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We're happy that you enjoyed everything so much! The older main building or inn building that you refer to was built in 1760 and the adjacent "newer" one, called Thayer House was built in 1822. Oldies but goodies. The restaurant occupies the whole first floor in the inn...

Want romance? Want and INCREDIBLE meal? Want incredible service? Look no further! The entire restaurant is candle lit. That's it! No electricity except in the kitchen and no internet which means, no one was on their phones texting! The meal was amazing...pricey but worth it...complimentary black lentil soup....omg! scallop with lobster claw in an orange froth sitting on puréed butternut...

we spent a night there to celebrate a big birthday for my husband. Everything about the place was special from the food to the drinks to the charming room. Both our bartender and waitress were very accommodating and friendly in a low-key way and this furthered the good feelings we had about our experience. then the next morning there was...

Spent a weekend seeing a client nearby and stayed here for the charm. Amazing dinner by candlelight. It was a really great experience to dine entirely by candlelight. Breakfast was delicious. The guest room was very authentic and well kept. Loved the wood burning fireplace. Will return when I am back up there in March.

The Inn and its owners mix perfectly old world and new to give the visitor a chance to relax, breathe and eat great food. My wife and I arrived from the city in a little more than 2 hours. A perfect investment for a 2-day getaway. The welcome was genuine and delivered with an economy of detail that suited the...

From the warm greeting by the Innkeeper, candle lit dinner by the fireplace, to the cozy upstairs room, we stepped back in time for a wonderful fall weekend in the Berkshires. We've been around the world, stayed at palaces and camped in tents, but found the Inn to be one of the most charming and welcoming of all places. Leave...

This is a Bed & Breakfast that also has a full service restaurant. The Inn was built in 1760 but has been updated with electricity & bathrooms in the guest rooms. The restaurant and bar, however, is lighted with candles. The rooms were large and very comfortable. (Sorry no TV in the room we had in the main building. Everything...

Spent two nights at the Old Inn on the Green. The folks are friendly. The restaurant is top notch with an outstanding wine list and home made desserts. The Green is a quiet spot for a perfect mini-getaway. Stayed in the Thayer House which has large comfortable rooms and a wonderful claw-footed soaking tub.
