A Village B and B is a beautifully restored home that was built in 1894 and is situated in the quiet and quaint village of Newton Highlands. This is our second stay at the Village and both have been wonderful and very enjoyable. Claudia, the owner, is a fantastic person. You are made to feel very welcome and her willingness...

Ray, I am so glad you found your way back to the marathon 8 years later! It was wonderful to be reunited with you and Marie. Don't wait another 8 to return. Or else you'll have a visitor to Nova Scotia, me.

I stayed at this B&B for business purpose for an entire week. It was also my first time in the Boston area, so it's proximity to the Green D Line was perfect. Stay: Claudia was an excellent host. She was available when needed and always had a delicious breakfast ready every morning. She also stayed around to chat every morning...

Claudio, you just missed all the marathoners too! Glad you ran on the route. Looking forward to hearing from you after you become a dad to see what that is like for you. Hope the training helped in your job too!

We only stayed for one night to visit family in a nearby town. Located in an attractive, walkable neighborhood with nearby coffee shops and interesting looking restaurants, which we didn't have time to explore. Next time. . . Our room had all the amenities, and we opted for a room with shared bath to economize--there were no other guests so...

A beautiful Victorian home within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and public transportation. Claudia is a warm and friendly host. I plan to stay with her again on my next trip to Boston in June.

A lovely, comfortable B&B, very nice location especially for walking, Asian restaurant and coffee shop close by. The first level bedroom especially nice with both walk-in shower and walk-in bathtub. The train station which takes one into Boston is just around the corner. We will stay here again, if available, on next trip to Boston/Newton.

My family took over the whole house in February for a long weekend, and it was perfect for us. My wife's Mom and Dad live right around the corner and couldn't accomodate all of us in their condo. “A Village Bed and Breakfast” is very near the center of Newton Highlands, and a short walk to the T station. The...

Jan, great to see your review--how nice to be remembered, and hope to see you and John again in the near future. Thank you so much for taking the time. I always enjoy having you around and hope the rest of your journey going along the east coast and fixing things worked well.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at A Village Bed and Breakfast. We were visiting friends in Newton, so this was ideal for us. Perfectly located for access to the T, our friends' home and everywhere else we needed to go. Claudia is delightful and a very accommodating hostess. We stayed in the Queen Suite on the third...

Bertha, so nice of you to take the time to write. I was so happy to meet you both, and always feel that is magical, meeting people one would never have the opportunity to be with. I was so impressed with your relationships, and your activities and of course, your husband's running for almost 2 hours in the morning. Hope...

My husband and I travelled from half way round the world to visit family nearby - a new grandchild. Claudia was warm and caring, interesting to talk to and interested in her guests without being intrusive in any way. We very much enjoyed the lively, and sometimes lengthy conversation over Claudia’s wonderful breakfast. Claudia was very accommodating, meeting our needs...

I've now stayed here twice, in two different rooms, two different seasons, several days each time. This is an exceptionally comfortable and aesthetically pleasing place, and Claudia's attention to detail and genuine caring for her guests creates a consistently welcoming energy. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A Village B and B is a homestay B & B in the heart of Newton Highlands village, steps away from restaurants, craft and clothing stores and salons. It is a bustling village complete with commerce, and offers the convenience of a great walkability score. The MBTA to Boston is steps away for access to downtown, sites, and the airport all while not needing a car. Our rooms are busiest during May through November, so reserve early beginning with the Boston Marathon. We are convenient to major routes such as the MA Turnpike, I-95 and Route 9. Great location for trips to Fenway Park, local colleges such as Boston College, Brandeis, LaSalle, and Mount Ida, not far from Babson and Olin colleges as well. Many of our guests come for workshops at Samadhi Yoga Center, the Jungian Institute, or Healing Arts in Watertown. We have rooms with private bathrooms and shared bath. Prices float accordingly. We offer a continental breakfast each morning with home made and bakery items as well as yogurt, cheese, fruits, and beverages, according to what is allowed for small B and Bs in our state. ... more   less
