I've been staying regularly at the Outer Reach Resort for over 10 years now...Every summer myself and my daughters stay there at least 3-4 times. Amazing views, friendly and professional staff, clean rooms. You will not be disappointed!
This place being dog friendly is the best and only reason why I stayed there. Location is good. To say they are dog friendly is an understatement: they have designated dog bathroom areas, dog parks, dog play area, list of dog friendly activities and restaurants...More
We stayed for the fourth time in June and enjoyed our stay. This was the first time we did not have a porch, which we missed, but we did enjoy our room, the pool and the complimentary breakfast where we met some new friends. If...More
I booked this motel because it was part of a wedding block that we attended. This is by far NOT a resort; it's a motel from at least 20 - 30 years ago. The door to my room didn't even close right, so I had...More
This place has become our home away from home for vacation. Warm, friendly staff - all of them. Rooms clean and comfortable. We get a room with a deck. The views are lovely and we have booked both water and park views. Sooo dog friendly!...More

We were looking forward to our stay at the Outer Reach, but we are a bit scared by the pet policy. We will have to leave our pugs alone in the room for about 4 hours while we attend a function in Ptown. They are not barkers, but they will bark if they hear other dogs barking. It would only be sporadic, not continuous. Most likely they will sleep the whole time. We hope that we will not be required to come back and get them if they bark - that would defeat the whole purpose of our staying there. We will keep them crated, as required, but if occasional barking is going to be a problem, we'll board them at the vet and stay at a cheaper hotel. Please let us know what you think. Thank you.

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Outer Reach Resort. Our pet policies are in place so that all of our guests can enjoy their Cape Cod vacation. From your description, I don't believe your dogs will present a problem. Crate trained dogs are generally comfortable in their crates when left alone. We have issues in the past with pets being left unattended (and uncrated) in the room for many hours. Being left alone in an unfamiliar environment, these dogs would bark incessantly for the entire time and sometimes cause considerable damage to the room. Of course, their owners would not believe that their dogs were capable of this, but it happens often. That is why the pet policies are in place. I hope you understand our position in this matter and choose to stay with us. Thank you.

"If having a porch is important, make sure you book a room with one."
