I make an annual birthday present to myself of a road trip and a B&B. When I first arrived at Race Brook Lodge, I was somewhat taken aback, as the premises and interiors weren't ornate or opulent, as are most B&Bs. I initially thought that perhaps I'd stay at another inn the following night, however by the end of the... More

I was over-the-moon thrilled with the Race Brook Lodge. My room was charming, spotless, private, and simply but thoughtfully furnished; my concerns about "being cold" in the Berkshires assuaged by their toasty bed linens; responsive thermostat; and the warmth of folks sharing in their outrageous cornucopia of a free breakfast. This lodge is perfect for sole travelers, looking for something... More

1: When we arrived, the young woman did not greet us with a hello, etc. We called a hour earlier, she was expecting us, it was about 6:30 PM. She showed us to the room, saying we'll walk through another room to get there, as the other was empty. (We were in the photo with the two brass beds as... More

Goodness Gracious! I am so sorry you were not informed properly about the breakfast. Sometimes when there are only a few rooms, we can't put out the full elaborate breakfast spread. However we always do our best to make sure there are ample delicious options for everybody! I'm very sorry you were uninformed and felt neglected. That is not the... More

When my husband and I began talking about where we wanted to get married we decided a few things off the bat. We wanted somewhere that provided a beautiful natural setting, a place where most of our friends and family could stay, and a venue where we could host an entire weekend-long experience. With Race Brook Lodge, we got all... More

We had hoped for cute B&B kind of experience- the cottage was number 19, in the back. It was not clean-- an M & M was on the floor on our arrival, dead bugs in the bathroom light fixture. Mattresses were old and uncomfortable -- I think they were going for shabby chic but seemed more Salvation Army. See the... More

Dear ArtsNCraftsFans, Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm sorry you didn't sleep well. Can you tell me which room you werestaying in? I don't know why you weren't shown the lodge common rooms and breakfast area upon check-in. We have bee so shorthanded lately and different people have been helping out who possibly don't remember to share all... More

Surrounded by trees with hammocks beneath, green grass, soft wildflowers, and a little brook that you can hear babbling in the fall and spring. There is the main lodge or stay in a rustic cottage with your family. There is free wifi, but this is truly a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy nature.... More

This is an old facility, so do not expect new and shinny. That said, it’s a clean and very friendly place. We were in one of the cabins and as we sat on the front porch in the rain, my wife said “I feel like we’ve landed in Dirty Dancing.” Nope, no floor show in the evening and not many... More

We stayed 2 nights at the lodge. Pricing was much more reasonable than similar or lower quality inns in or near Lenox and Great Barrington. The location was convenient from the New York area and was a good launching point for antique shopping and a visit to Tanglewood (about a 30 minute drive, although the roads are dark at night).... Room was very comfortable with a nice blend of rustic farmhouse with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast wasn't fancy or gourmet, but fresh and ample. staff was welcoming and efficient. A really nice spot off the beaten path in the Berkshires
