We just got back from our first stay at the Red Lion Inn as the last part of our honeymoon and I have to say that we were extremely disappointed. They clearly need more parking as it took us over 20 minutes to actually find a space in the lot - and when we finally did and dragged our bags...

We went as an overnight during the holiday season. It had just happened to snow days prior, so picture the most New England Christmas-y holiday scene. What a delight. Staff so friendly and helpful, wonderful rustic charm, and comfy room. I feel like my stress levels dropped by half. Red Lion is a must-do. I can only imagine what it's...

What a great time we had here two weeks ago. Grandparents (3 mights), son, grandson (2 nights) and nephew and his new wife (one night). Haven't been here in a long time. So glad to see that the Red Lion Inn is thriving, and that it welcomes couples young and old as well as families. Great food, really nice service,...

Thank you for your feedback! We are always grateful to hear about our guests’ experiences. We do offer a little something for everyone of all ages, including our numerous board games and DVD collection (we have close to 400) that guests are welcomed to borrow. And don’t forget our fitness room, outdoor heated swimming pool & hot tub which are...

My wife and I recently stayed at the Red Lion Inn in the maple glen section. What a gorgeous room! Everything here is 1st class. We had dinner both nights we stayed and both were excellent. Shepard's pie and prime rib were excellent, but the seafood newburg over buttered noodles was to die for. Great drinks at the bar as...

Our family travels to the Red Lion Inn, yearly, after Thanksgiving. There are a variety of room options for our adult children and significant others to stay in. My husband and myself usually stay in the main hotel and rent a "house" for the family. We bring our holiday leftovers as there is a kitchen. Just perfect! And they always...

We are so glad that we get to welcome your family year after year! As you noticed, Yoga is an exciting new program for us. We have to give the credit for its success to the talented Dharma Coach Kat Whitney. For more information on Kat, you can visit her website at http://dharmacoach.com/ . We stayed here one night to celebrate a birthday and had a very good experience. I had read prior reviews about grumpy front desk staff but that was not my experience at all. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and we felt most welcome. The rooms are not modern, but they are not supposed to be. They are comfortable and...

The coziness of the main room at the inn with the rustling fireplaces, piano music, and plush antique sofas and rocking chairs was a welcome respite from the cold. The staff was super-duper friendly. The food at the restaurant was delicious. They have a real attention to detail here. You can see it in the fresh cut flower at eat...

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. The Main Inn has two wood burning fireplaces. One is located in our Lion’s Den pub where we have live entertainment every evening and never a cover charge. The second is in the main lobby offering a warm welcome for travelers, just like it has for the past two centuries....

Two friends and I had our annual girlfriend over-night at The Red Lion Inn this year. We stayed in the Dorothy and Bessie Suite in McGregor House. It's the second floor of a very old house (reminded me a LOT of my own parents' house with wide plank floors that creaked every time we moved from room to room) and...

Normally reviewers say to stay in the main building when you stay in old hotels, but I would say the opposite. We stayed back in August and were given a small, very dated, dark and well worn room in the main inn. I felt like crying. My husband talked to the people on reception, who showed him a similar room...

We are grateful that you shared your experience with us. We find that our guests have a wide variety of tastes & preferences, so we provide a wide variety of lodging options. The Main Inn building has the quaint charm of a quintessential old New England Inn, while our newest guesthouse Maple Glen offers a more modern accommodations with luxurious...

A pleasant surprise. Sometimes these old inns are just getting by on...being an old inn. The RLI has a very friendly and helpful staff, good sized rooms (with 2 luggage racks and enough room for us to gather and spend time with our fellow travelers) and just an overall comfortable feel. The old-door pool and hot tube is year round-if...
