I can't say enough about Journey's End Lodge! My wife and I were traveling from Ohio on a New England autumn road trip and we found this place during our planning process. We stayed in the Cobble Room which was in the downstairs of the lodge and you would have thought we were staying by ourselves in a private home...

Travis H - it was a delight having you and your wife stay with us at Journey's End and hope that you will return soon to the Berkshires where there is much to see and to do. You were here at the start of our Fall Colors season which is just now spiraling to its Grand Finale. Think about next...

There are many great reasons for staying at Journey's End, but the most outstanding is the architecture itself. There were at least 200 trees used for logs to build the lodge -- so this isn't the typical "log cabin" where the logs are used only as a veneer. This is the real McCoy! And the design is so outstanding it's...

Thank you for accurately capturing and describing the spirit and structure of Journey's End Lodge. It is indeed a true log structure -- the logs you see on the outside are the same ones seen indoors. Each was hand hewn by log wrights who ensured that each log mates perfectly with its neighbors, thus ensuring our home is level, solid,...

In planning our east coast driving trip, my husband and I used Trip Advisor to find some special local places to stay. Chief among our finds was Journey's End Lodge. We were very pleased with everything; the amazing house itself, its location, the delicious breakfasts we were served and the charming company of Alan and Carlos. Thanks to you both...

Alan and I are pleased you consider Journey's End Lodge as chief among your "special local places to stay." We look forward to your return and, in anticipation of that, will continue our ongoing effort to develop new, delicious, and nutritious breakfasts. One of our central aims at Journey's End is to ensure that returning guests are provided with a...

Each year for the past 42 years my wife and I spend our anniversary at a different B&B. This year Journey's End Lodge surpassed all our expectations. The building is a marvel of engineering yet the epitome of warmth. The breakfast is a feast for the eyes as well as the palette. From the day we registered Carlos and Alan...

Vladimir, it was a pleasure to host your visit to Williamstown and we were honored you chose to celebrate your 42nd anniversary at Journey's End - our Adirondack style Lodge in the Berkshires. As you're aware, the style and design of Journey's End is based on an Adirondack Great Camp in Saranac, New York; the log structure was built and...

Alan is an excellent host, and this B&B is lovely and impressive. Made by log wrights and transported to Williamstown, this is an impressive structure indeed! Also a beautiful one with a large sitting room. And, oh, the view!! Breakfast was delicious, too. One morning we had a sort of vegetable quiche with a potato crust, and the other we...

We enjoy the creativity in cooking inspired by our guests' breakfast preferences. Our potato-crust Milanese and our blueberry oat pancakes are two among our many gluten-free delights. Both can be and at Journey's End are prepared without milk. We use instead almond or coconut milk, either of which is a healthy and tasty alternative. As you correctly noted, we do...

It seems almost superfluous to add another "excellent" review, but this place is surely deserving. Alan and Carlos are engaged, interesting, and welcoming. The lodge is a beauty with its hand hewn log construction warmed by colorful rugs and wall hangings. We visited Williamstown for the first time, to celebrate my wife's birthday and our anniversary. Carlos was nice enough...

Our third year returning to this unique log cabin bed and breakfast in Williamstown. A perfect place to enjoy the Theater and arts of Williamstown with nary a doily in site! Carefully prepared and delicious breakfasts make for a great start to the day. The hosts are charming, interesting, and always helpful yet very unassuming and provide plenty of privacy...

We're always pleased to see our returning guests; they're rather like family members come to roost. We make every effort to ensure that our returning guests enjoy a breakfast they didn't have on their last visit. That requires an excellent memory, which neither of us has, or an on going calendar of breakfasts served. We don't do that. So, Alan...

The best B&Bs combine the warm, easy hospitality of staying with friends with the privacy and amenities of a hotel, and Journey's End is that kind of B&B. Innkeepers Alan and Carlos are friendly and flexible hosts who are very knowledgeable about the area. As soon as we arrived and mentioned a few things we wanted to do (light hiking...

We look forward to your return to Journey's End when you, like so many other visitors to Williamstown, can visit those museums, theatres, and outdoor venues that they couldn't reach in a single visit. We stayed here for our 4 year anniversary. We were looking for a place in the woods, but not too far from civilization. Journey's End was perfect. The structure and landscape are beautiful. On meeting arriving guests, we ask about dietary preferences which vary widely. Taking these into account, we craft a breakfast that takes all preferences into account and strikes an inventive and delicious result. Because of this, a non-vegan guest may be delighted at just how good a cauliflower steak can be! Another guest with no gluten concerns has likely never...
