Booked this B&B 6 nights beforehand. Stayed in the Honeymoon/Anniversary Suite with the balcony. Beautiful view! Lovely grass area along the lake. Would make a wonderful very small wedding venue. Mary, owner & hostess was absolutely delightful. It was like I was staying with my grandmother again. Home is done up very cottage like, florals, pinks, lace, wicker. Bed was...

A friend and I stayed at the Gingerbread House B&B in August. The house, which was originally built as a rooming house in the late 1800's, was delightful and comfortable. The Innkeeper/owner, Mary, was knowledgeable about the area, warm and witty. We stayed in the 2nd story room with the porch overlooking the bay - lovely. I would stay at...

Innkeeper and owner, Mary, was very sweet and a perfect hostess. The Gingerbread house is in the quaint and timeless community of Bay View. A great deal of history wrapped up in a perfect getaway with a lovely breakfast and accommodations. Thank you for the great time Mary!

Mary, the innkeeper, is the most wonderful person - a joy to talk to! She was so welcoming from the moment we arrived. She had wine and cheese and crackers and was ready to tell us about the house and the Petoskey area. We stayed in a room with a king size bed and also had a separate sitting area...

Mary Gruber herself is enough to make you want to stay here. I've never met a more helpful, sweet, friendly, flexible, kind, interesting, and classy inn keeper anywhere. She is a gem. Oh, by the way, the house and the breakfasts are great, too. But go there to meet Mary! You won't regret it, that I can promise.

Wonderful host, Mary! Old world Victorian beach house. Very pretty and nicely appointed. Close to historic cottages - well worth walking around and close to beach access. A bit noisy - can't be helped as it is on 31.

Mary makes you feel at home. She is your loving mother, your loving grandmother, she is your best friend. We were two couples and had a wonderful time. Mary is informative, kind, wise, and welcoming. Her breakfasts are unique and delicious. She guided us to tasty restaurants and fun local experiences. You cannot miss this bed and breakfast! We are...

Stayed here over Labor Day with family in all four rooms. We were in Petoskey for my daughters wedding. Mary is one of a kind and certainly one of the nicest people we have ever met. Jumped right in and helped my wife with some wedding stuff, obviously the breakfast's she made were top notch, and her Granddaughter Megan was...

We paid $135 for a room in September, which I thought was overpriced but it was a charming little place with amazing breakfast. An old woman runs it and she cooks everything from scratch, which I liked. Her gingerbread cookies were the best I've ever had! We also had good company (2 couples) join us for breakfast, which is what...

I hesitate to share this review, simply because I'd like to keep this secret all to myself. Mary makes each and every guest feel like family visiting for a wonderful, carefree lake vacation. Breakfast is homemade with love, rooms are delightful lakeside havens. We were fortunate to have the private balcony enjoying views of the beautiful bay at all times...
