Really nice, large one bedroom apartment-like layout. Full kitchen, plenty space to work and relax. Very clean, super helpful staff: props to Terrence at the front desk who went of his way to help me. Great stay- will be back.
Stayed here on the final nights of a trip in Indiana and the St Joseph's area. We enjoyed the hotel a lot. It was pretty quiet when we stayed and we enjoyed sitting on the back patio and enjoying a few beverages with friends one evening. Our friends were staying on the other side of the freeway at the Holiday Inn Express and the Staybridge seemed to be a much newer and nicer hotel. The rooms were decent size and we had a Studio Queen. Our only disappointment was that outside of the small shopping area there wasn't much to do without driving, but knew we weren't right in Benton Harbor so understood we would be driving.
Stayed here for a month because of work. The employees were nice, the ones we met. Theresa, manager of housekeeping was really nice. The room was OK. Except for a couple chips and pop corn kernels underneath couch and a couple cob webs. Orange mold on shower wall. Laundry room was disgusting. Overflowing garbage from the can. Dirty floor. Black mold in rubber seal of washer. Not 1 time did they vacume the hallways or mop the floors!!!! Garbage had sat outside door for 3 days. Hall smelled terrible. The Matt by the side door vacummed twice. Did not vacumme rooms after each visitor. Was there all day, so know this. No big breakfast or social cuz of virus. Ran out of paper towels and toilet paper. Above floors are thin. Kids jumping and light fixtures are shaking. Did complain and it was taking care of. If you have a dog, bring bags to clean up. Not always bags outside. Watch where you step. Some ignorant people don't pick up after their pet. Again nice staff but needs to be a lot cleaner. …
Two big stains on the couch. Expensive but probably holiday rates. Wouldn’t really go back because it’s nothing special. Pretty straightforward hotel but theses Suites can vary by degrees of wear. 7 out of ten.
In town for work, booked throuh IHG. At work, a co worker told me the hotel will give you a discounted rate for contractors working at the Cook Nuclear plant. I called the hotel and asked, person on phone said yes, about 15 bucks a night cheaper. Upon checking in, inquired about the discounted rate, now I was told I couldn't get it because I booked online. Booked online through IHG, which is there parent corporation. She said I should of requested the rate through them. A rate I didn't even know about. After some discussion she reluctantly gave me the rate. Now because of everything going on, housekeeping requests you put all towels and your garbage in a bag and place it outside your door by 8 am. Did that when I left for work, returned 12 hours later to bags still being there. They finally grabbed it the next morning. Issue 3, as I turned the tv to adjust it, the tv broke off its stand. I walked down to front desk to inform them, was told maintenance won't be in til 7am tomorrow. Thats fine. Return from work next day, tv is fixed, but now the screen was damaged, and the left side was full of lines. Walked to desk, informed them, as I do not want to be responsible for a broken tv now. They said will let manager now in the morning. Return from work next day, tv still broke, front desk, manager knows, blah blah blah. Return 4th day, still broken, never return to this place again, as I have already booked another hotel for this next week of work.…
