We moved to your hotel due to a terrible experience in a nearby hotel. I am so glad that we did because you made it a great stay. I wish I could remember the name of the lady who checked me in. She was the friendliest and funniest front desk agent I have ever encountered. The rooms were also clean. Thank you!
When you enter this hotel, you are greeted by dozens of signs informing you that masks are required on-property. This is fine, we expect this. However, the woman running the front desk at night never wears one. She is setting a bad example for guests, many of whom also weren't wearing one. Meanwhile, the bar, pool, gym, Starbucks, house keeping are all closed "due to COVID", but self-serve coffee pumps (a high-touch, shared-use handle!) are "still available". If that were really the reason, self-serve would absolutely be shut down. What IS TRUE is that occupancy is really low and so they laid everyone off and shut it all down. What is also true is that they haven't updated their listing with any of the third parties, or even their own website to say all of that is closed, and they are still charging the same rate as though it is open. There are 5 other hotels within walking distance of this hotel. Don't stay at this one, at least not until COVID is over. …
We have visited the hotel during the pandemic so not all the amenities we re open such as bistro, pool, gym. The hotel is pretty new so everything is in excellent condition. Check in and check out were super fast. Location is very pleasing, about 15-20 minutes ride to the city center and the beach. I loved the size of the room which was absolutely spacious for three adults and a kid, also two large TVs was a great option. Room was super clean and the beds were so comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for the stay. 4 stars!!
I presume this is a new hotel, and it certainly feels that way. Room was super-nice, wi-fi was fast, beds comfortable, climate control fine. Restaurant was closed on the weekend; not sure if that was just for this weekend or if it's normal practice, but something to keep in mind if you need breakfast at the hotel. Special shout-out to Mayra at the front desk, who may be the nicest and friendliest hotel staff person I've ever met. Made us feel very welcome, even if she did mock-scold me for paying with a Hilton credit card :-)
We stopped at this hotel as part of a planned stop during a road trip. The rate was very reasonable and after seeing the hotel we are surprised it’s such a good deal! The hotel is new and the room was nicely decorated and included a two seater couch, kitchen and fridge. It’s a short drive to the beaches and parks in St. Joseph and easy on and off access to the expressway. We travel a lot both for work and personally and would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
