We knew it was going to be outdated and small, and it was, but the bathroom was so small that one person barely fit, the toilet smelled like a sewer, the shower was tiny, had cracked tile that moved beneath your feet, was moldy, the shower head did not move, the phone in the room didn't work, the dresser was broken so bad that the drawers did not open. They gave us one tiny towel and two hand towels that felt like sandpaper. The room smelled like stale cigarettes, even though it was a non smoking room. This is probably because everybody around us smoked outside of their rooms, so if we opened the windows or even the door, the smoke went in the room. We loved all of the metal coffee cans with cigarette butts in and around them. Then there were the people that lived in the motel rooms. When we pulled in, there was a group of young people outside of the room next to ours drinking, smoking, cussing, and playing music so loud that you had to scream to hear a person next to you, and they were. This was at 1:45 pm in the afternoon. This would happen all throughout the day There were at least 3 children under the age of 5 hanging out with this crowd. They turned the music up as we unloaded our stuff into the room. The one guy with the huge wireless speaker, "Mike", announced that he was staying there until December. There were also some other people that appeared to be migrant workers or drug dealers that were living there as well. The management seemed indifferent to all of this, so we checked out a day early. I would avoid this place at all costs. There is a hotel across the street right on Lake Cadillac that is under renovation and new management called the Lake Cadillac Resort that might have been a better choice. As I was checking out early, the manager was there, and he didn't even ask why we were leaving early. I gave him an earful, mostly about the long term residents, and he said he would be happy to ask them to turn the music down again, so he knew this was an issue. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The only reason I rated 2 rather than 1 was because it seemed clean, not overly dirty. However everything is so outdated and not functioning properly. Our room was HOT, the thermostat said 83 and we couldn't figure out any way to turn the heat down or off, or even to turn the air on. We couldn't open one of the windows, the other window could be opened but we couldn't leave it open all night. Only 1 light worked in the room. The door and windows were very old and a gentle push would probably open them even if they were secure. Some people must be longer term residents here because I saw cats in the windows of some of the other rooms. Bath towels seemed clean but washcloths were dingy. Curtains were falling off of the rod, so you couldn't close them 100%. No one at the front desk when we checked out so no one to report our concerns too. It's just not worth it to stay here, pay a bit more money and stay somewhere that is being upkept and maintained. Oh and the parking lot wasn't all of the way plowed, we had to park 4 doors down from our actual room.

I was very upset about our room. The bed was a roll away and the mattress was so hard you can sleep comfortable. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Hair in the shower that was not ours. I was scared to be on the chairs because I thought they were going to break and no I'm not a big lady but they were really wobbly. could not control the heat in our room ever so hot we ask for a fan and they said they would be there in 10 minutes and then it was 20 minutes and there was 30 minutes and we finally got one. We will never stay there again.

We couldn’t be more please with this adorable vintage Motel. We have always wanted to stop in Cadillac on our way up north and looking for a last minute spot to run away to we found availability here on Travelocity. The staff was kind and polite. It is as “antique” as we imagined. But the price point was exceptional. The refrigerator in the room is actually cold and the little freezer works too. Also it has a microwave. I don’t blame them for not updating, as everything works just fine. Also!!! It’s almost RIGHT on the LAKE! And they have a cute fire pit area! I actually wish we were staying longer. Can’t wait to come back.

This place has ideal positioning, and luckily there are nicer places in the same area! Old and weathered are words that come to mind. It is at the same time very clean. It needs a massive overhaul, but that is not happening. It is not even that cheap, so if you want a nicer place, better book that instead. Cadillac is a great place and this place needs to keep up with the city!
