From our check in experience until we left we had nothing but a great experience. The young man at check in was very polite, had a mask on, and made us feel welcome. He gave us bottled water and a list of restaurants in the area. The room smelled and looked very, very clean. There were alcohol wipes in the room. The room--212--was spacious, a nice closet, nice sized refrigerator, and a microwave. The bed was firm and comfortable, the shower had good water pressure and the water got nice and hot. The breakfast was the best COVID-era breakfast we've had a hotel. It was nice boxed breakfast with Jimmy Dean sausage sandwich, boiled eggs, bagel, cream cheese, yogurt, orange juice. It is centrally located to lots of activities around Cadillac. This was just an all-around great experience. If I HAD to say anything "bad," it would be the elevators are very jerky, and their American flag outside needs replaced--it's shredded and looks bad.…
Hotel was VERY attentive to COVID-19 precautions, including careful cleaning of hotel rooms, removal of seating areas in public spaces, signs around hotel public spaces and elevators regarding distancing, cleanliness, etc, and continental breakfast items individually packaged. Plus, the coffee in the lobby was actually good! Room was nice, very modern, and bed was comfortable.
I walk in to register and an greeted by a woman with a mask around her chin. I walk by someone sweeping with no mask on. I pass some kids walking out of the pool area with no masks on. I see people getting on and off the elevators with no masks on. Housekeepers cleaning the rooms with no masks on. Women in the laundry room with no masks on. Then they make a big deal about sanitizing your room. Are we really 9-10 months into this and still have no clue how Covid is transmitted? If you are wondering how in the world we have almost 350,000 Americans dead of Covid-19 as of this writing with over 3500 dying daily, check out the clueless behavior exhibited by the staff at the Hampton Inn, Cadillac. These people are in desperate need of some kind of guidance.
We always stay here when we visit Cadillac, at least they still provide breakfast during your stay not just hot breakfast. It was all individually packed and ready to go. My only complaint was the housekeeping crew did not wear any mask at all walking back and forth in that hallway. Overall stay was great and the front desk is always friendly.
Stopped in Cadillac for the night and selected this hotel since we usually have a great stay. The staff was extremely friendly, check in took a matter of seconds, and our room was very neat and clean. Even with covered, we had a wonderful breakfast. The staff allowed us to select items we wanted for breakfast and then placed it on a plate or put it in a bag. The fitness room was very large, with multiple cardio machines as well as an entire rack of weights! One of the best I've seen anywhere! Overall, we had a great stay.
