The Lodge was built many years ago and it shows, but the location is great. We stayed there to be right down town near the Searchlight restaurant and near the water. We were able to walk to dinner and to breakfast and down to the sunset. It was great and the price was reasonable.

We stayed here for work. My pictures should speak 1000 words. Stained mattresses, dated appliances, poor a/c, old furniture. Pool is in a parking lot. No elevators. Way overpriced. Place is for sale - I hope new owners burn it down and start over. Before booking here, look at my pictures.

We traveled to Charlevoix for a wedding a couple of weekends ago and stayed the The Lodge for one night. We were pleasantly surprised at just how close it located to downtown with the drawbridge, park area, docks, and all the restaurants and shops. It was very enjoyable to step out of our room and take a quick walk to...

The front desk staff was very friendly at all our encounters. It’s in a great location, walking distance from all the downtown shopping and attractions. It was one of the lower-priced options in town and it was clean. We rode upstairs in the elevator once, and determined that it was too creepy to attempt a second ride. We instead opted...

We stayed at the Lodge in July, the night before we attended a beautiful wedding at Fisherman’s Island State Park, just south of Charlevoix. My room connected to the room where my mom and sister were staying. The Lodge is a landmark, designed by Earl Young, who also designed the nearby mushroom houses and the distinctive Stafford’s Weathervane Restaurant across...

The room was really large and clean. The down side- the beds were not supportive, there was no hair dryer or ironing board or iron, you could get one at the front desk. There was only one elevator on one side of the building and the stairs were spiral staircases not easy to carry luggage up and down. Breakfast was...

The Lodge is great for travelers who love a great in-town location, friendly service, clean rooms and a great price. If you want an updated hotel, then this is not for you. We paid a little bit more for a room that had 3 queen beds, with one of the beds being in a separate room with sliding doors. It...

The rooms were absolutely disgusting. Yes, the staff is nice but I should have known when they asked for the second nights payment before seeing the room at check IN and not at check OUT that I was in trouble.

Sweetest staff I have ever experienced traveling, I felt like I was right at home. Clean, walkable to downtown, and a nice little breakfast provided for the morning! We had a blast here and I will continue to give the Lodge my business for future summers! We LOVE the lodge!

The good -- the location is wonderful, within walking distance of the lots of shops and restaurants. The bad -- place is run down and needs some serious repairs and they need help cleaning the place. The beds are seriously uncomfortable and the bedding needs replacing badly. The ugly -- normally I don't comment on decor because that is a...
