We spent two nights in this B&B while visiting family and friends in Iron River. We were not interested in the hotels available in Iron River so selected this B&B near Crystal Falls. The one thing we did not realize was just how far (about 8 miles north) out of Crystal Falls the B&B was located. The distance made it...

First of all, the food was amazing. On the first day, my husband (a picky eater who usually skips breakfast altogether) said to me, "this is the best ham I've ever had." everything is home made and delicious!! Large portions, very filling. The room was just gorgeous and very clean, well stocked with nice towels, organic soaps, etc. Secondly; the...

I also don't understand the negative reviews, the Inn is an absolutely serene get away! Carol and Les were wonderful hosts, who were easy to talk to and happy to help. We had an amazing time on our canoe ride, saw bears feeding both nights, and played Parcheesi on the deck at twilight while everyone else was out at dinner....

We just returned from the Listening Inn -- and can't say enough good things. The quiet was perfect, the food was spectacular, the beds were the best, Carol and Les are new friends. It saddens me to read the negative reviews -- obviously B&Bs are not for you. The Inn is beautiful, the grounds are God's creation at its fiest....

We were driving back to Minnesota from Mackinac Island. We saw the advertisement in the Michigan Tourism Booklet. We stopped just the the night. We slept the best night in years. It was exciting to watch the bears feed. Carol sure knows how to make a fantastic breakfast. She was extremely helpful and nice. I was glad the early quiet...

Reading the bad reviews is irritating!!! This is by far one of the best places I've ever stayed. GREAT ROOMS GREAT VALUE!! We had no problem with check in,Carol only asked that we give an estimate time of arrival since the cell phone service can be poor at times. When we arrived Carol & Les were very friendly,we chatted with...

My husband and I stayed at the Listening Inn June 2011 the weekend we were married. We found Carol and Les to be excellent hosts. The Inn is out in the middle of nowhere and only for those that truly want to get away from it all. Dining options are a drive and limited. The Inn is beautiful and I...

Carol, You have totally missed your calling – as it most assuredly is not running a bed and breakfast! May I suggest you start by Google-ing “customer service” and maybe waving your eyes over it to see if you can get an idea of how to treat customers. First, the Listening Inn is appropriately named because you can hear everything...

I don't think I have ever felt more unwelcome from the time we checked in until we checked out. We were told about all rules after we checked in... No noise after 9 and the doors lock at 11 and your key will not open the front door. When we acted surprised the owner said that we could check out...
