A nice neighborhood and building. Great budget stay while in the D. Has all you need. Good and helpful people. I would recommend this hostel to anyone including my friends. I look forward to revisiting and staying here in the future.

I really enjoyed my stay there, the bed was comfortable and the blankets too, really cozy. It's basically a house, with bathroom, rooms and common area/kitchen. Staff is very friendly and helpful, cool to talk to and they can give you lots of information about Detroit and what you can do. They also had breakfast. You can walk from there...

Great people. Super location. Nice rooms and cozy atmosphere. Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed Detroit. All the places you want to see were close by. And there was so much to discover. Lots of good surprises that gave is a better idea of what the D really is. Will come back f. sure.

Hi, I was staying for a weekend at the Detroit Hostel and had a very good time as the staff is really very helpful! The highlight of my stay was the free Ambassador tour where one can really get a background inside of history and present identity of the city and their inhabitants! Looking forward to come back some day!

This place rocks, the hostel host, Evan is super friendly and knowledgable. Gave solid advice on anything you needed to know, food, music scene, beers, sights, areas and getting around. The host is really nice, relatively clean and a relaxed vibe, good place to chill with close to the awesome Corktown. I would definitely go here again. The area is...

I'm really not the hostel type but the standard hotels were either too much for my budget or totally suspect and as the hostel had private room options I thought I'd give it a try and I am SO GLAD that I did. So glad. It was clean and functional, the staff were warm and engaging, and very helpful on...

Nice and cordial hostel with adequate services and helpful staff. A nice hostel experience with folks from all continents. Be engaged as you may or may not want to be. There are neighborhood activities, near Corktown on Michigan Ave with pubs and eateries, a bus ride or walk to downtown, plenty of positive energy in the neighborhood and a work...

My stay was on a Monday so, my room with bunks was not crowded. It was quiet. I a had clean sheet, blanket, and towel provided for me. I was very happy with the comfort of my mattress as well. I met friendly people from staff to travelers. I was given a map the next day by a staff member...

What a great place to stay at! Simple yet charming. I was with a friend of mine and we chose to rent a private room with bunk beds. The beds were comfortable and there was even air conditioning! Kitchens were clean. It was nice to sit on the patio at night. There were 4 fully-equipped bathrooms well-kept by the employees....
