This hotel is actually a row of beautifully restored mansions that date to the late 19th and early 20th century. Great atmosphere with all the amenities and friendly staff. Breakfast is included and is ample and excellent. Perhaps a consideration for some older folks: there are no elevators. The houses are within walking distance of Detroit's cultural center and Wayne...

What a gem of a place. A row of beautifully restored mansions across from Wayne State University and a short walk to the Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Public Library, Detroit Historical Museum, and more. The rooms were elegant and felt like you were staying in your great, great grandparent's home. And breakfast was well-appointed with something for every taste....

For the price of an ordinary, modern hotel, you can stay in this beautifully decorated inn and feel like you're living in a fine Victorian home, with a well-trained staff to assist you. I arrived early in the day, with work to do, and my room wasn't ready yet, but there was all the complimentary Tazo tea, coffee, fresh fruit,...

We were visiting to hear the Detroit Symphony and get together with family and friends. The Inn was such a surprise - restored mansions - just lovely. The service was extraordinary. Having the shuttle was so convenient too! They shuttled us to and from the Renaissance Center for a lovely dinner. Breakfast so good with eggs, quiche, and the best...

This was a great hotel that had all the accommodations we needed including free wi-fi, breakfast (they served eggs, quiche, fruit, cereal, muffins, yogurt, and of course, coffee), free parking and a beautiful lounge area. Our room was fantastic with a raised four-poster bed, open and spacious room, and we were welcomed with cookies and cute waters in carton boxes...

We were visiting the Detroit area for college visits, and one of the schools suggested we stay at the Inn. As a first time visitor to the area, but appreciative of history, we were excited to stay a few nights here. We were not disappointed! We stayed at the Owen House (next door to the main house) in a Queen...

I was traveling with my mother and my grown daughter and we were all glad that we were able to stay a couple of nights at this wonderful inn. Our room was the former dining room in a huge Victorian house. There were lovely built-in cabinets that were probably original to the house. The living room/parlor was decorated beautifully with...
