I was in town for one night on business, and wanted to stay close to downtown, since I had a ticket for the Tigers game. The hotel sits right on the edge of downtown. I drove several blocks and parked close to the stadium for $10. If I had walked, it would have only been a 30 minute walk, but...

This place was still a little strange when we stayed there, but I loved it. As other reviewers note, it is undergoing renovation -- a transformation from an outdated run-down shack to a stylish upscale boutique. There are still pieces of the old skin visible. To get to the renovated part, you have to walk through the ghosts of its...

The hotel was an absolute bargain! Very comfortable and clean. Has a hipster vibe which usually isn't my style but as thoroughly impressed with this place. Staff were great and very helpful with us. Will stay there again if I am ever in Detroit

I spent 3 nights at the Trumbull & Porter in Detroit in July 2016, and I had a great experience! When I stayed, only the 3rd & 4th floors had been remodeled, and I'm sure this hotel will only be more lovely once the remaining renovations are completed. The lobby is adorable - with unique touches everywhere. The front desk...

A very hip & cool conveniently located hotel in Corktown just west of the Detroit downtown area, that captures the essence of the "New Detroit". Not luxury, but comfortable and trendy. There are quite a few restaurants and bars along that stretch of Michigan Ave. which are all a few minutes walk form the hotel. Noteworthy, the hotel is located...

We took a chance on booking this hotel and we're not disappointed. They have done a nice job with the renovations and I think it will be great when everything is complete. The rooms were small but clean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were able to walk to a lot of area bars and restaurants. The only...

Stayed 04-Aug-16. Hotel is in the middle of renovations. Rooms are uncarpeted, and somewhat Spartan (European?) , but overall very roomy and comfortable. The king-size bed was to die for. At this time they don't have a restaurant attached, maybe as part of the renovation $6 cab fare to Fox Theatre..

We made a spontaneous decision to book a hotel for the evening, and are super happy with our choice. The hotel is clean, beautifully designed, and has an overall exquisite vibe. We booked a jacuzzi room and couldn't be happier with what we got. The jacuzzi was very nice, the rooms are nothing like I've seen before. Minimalistic with exquisite...

Great new addition to the Detroit hotel scene. Very friendly staff. It's on the fridge of downtown in Corktown with ample and secure parking and easy access to the most vibrant areas of the city. The renovations are so cool: The rooms are modern, amenities plenty, and beds comfy. I love the refurbished industrial feel to the rooms and common...

This hotel was great. We could walk to several nearby restaurants, and we walked downtown and to the riverfront in about twenty minutes. The room (and the bed) was clean and comfortable; the hotel has a fresh "industrial chic" decor and it is done very thoughtfully. The staff is noticeably friendly and helpful, and they seem to know the Corktown...
